Darkglass Microtubes 900 Class D Amp

It reads, "MICROTUBES" so I'm assuming what I heard is what it does.

I don't doubt you, I made an assumption because that's *usually* where the input pad would be IME!! The best pics *I* have are from a few weeks ago, and I couldn't clearly read all of it(I don't have a laptop, just my phone;))

Edit: I can see it now, I must've glossed over that, my bad!!

Oh, sorry... I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were doubting me in any way. I made my photo post before I read any of your replies.

I agree with you... that is usually where it would be.

Exactly. Not a fan of the fizzy highs. I'm a flat attack switch, fat grunt switch kind of guy.

Dont get me wrong, I love the attack sound through *any other* cab, but the fEARful's are designed to accurately reproduce whatever is fed to them, or close to the direct sound! If being miked was more common id use a commercial cab!!

That being said, I don't know anything about the DG cabs and I don't plan on getting one unless its very flat/uncolored..now that could change my mind!! This "tone" knob could be the answer to getting in that "goldilocks zone", not too bright, not too dark;)

Another cool option I found out recently is the effects loop is post EQ/preamp, meaning you *can* run a cab SIM to further shape your direct sound!! Doug recently made a thread about the DSP omnicabsim pedal which I believe he said he was gonna demo with his pedals at NAMM, anyways it sounds amazing in the YouTube demo with other dirt so I'm anxious to hear how it works with the DG pedals *and* it has a headphone jack!!

Of course that cab sim might be totally unnecessary with all the EQ options, but I think its a great idea to have the EQ/drive *before* the effects and still have the benefit of an XLR!!

I'm very excited about this amp if anyone couldn't tell already!;)

Apologies in advance for skipping the middle 16 pages of this thread... any more info on what the price will be, or when the price will be announced?
Doug popped in and said that it wouldn't be announced yet, like in a month or two. I think the amps we see are prototypes and the first manufacturing run isn't scheduled yet.

Well, I noticed the Darkglass is manufactured in Finland, so is their a U.S. distributor with warranty service in the States. That's something I'd want to know

Ric

Good question!

No worries on that: We work with Musical Distribution Groupca stablished distributor and they offer full support and servicing for our whole line.
