Dave Ellefson Rejoins Megadeth!!

I am much more a fan of Lomenzo than Ellefson.

That being said, I do agree with many on here that Ellefson IS the other half of Megadeth.

Both are extremely good players in their own respective ways. I also expect Lomenzo has been in enough big groups to understand the business.

I don't think Lomenzo will have any trouble finding another gig.

Nice to hear this - but now I feel really old (and I'm only 32) - I saw the Mustaine-Ellefson-Menza-Friedman lineup on the 'Rust In Peace' tour way back in...hmmm, I'm guessing 1991 or 92 in Dublin.

And support was Alice In Chains - and this was before Grunge became a big thing, because I remember seeing them and thinking "They're from Seattle you know" as I hadn't heard of any bands from Seattle back then.

Oh somebody shoot me.

I really liked the line up when Marty Feldman was on guitar. That was the band at its best
I agree!

Ha - I saw same tour back in 91- My first metal show. I was 16 and got to see the "Clash of the Titans" tour:
Megadeth in support of Rust in Peace, Slayer in support of Seasons in the Abyss and Anthrax in support of Persistence of Time. AIC opened for them. GREATEST METAL SHOW OF ALL TIME PERIOD. Would Die if Marty and Nick re-joined Megadeth!

It says on J-Lo's (haha ;D) myspace that he chose to leave himself. I read an interview once where he said he's mostly into power trios, because the bass is allowed to shine alot more in those kind of ensembles, so I'm guessing that's what he's pursuing :)

Indeed great news, the 2 Dave's back in action!!
