I'm to the point now that satan could be marketing these amps and I'd still give em a chance just because I'm tired of all the talk of some irrelevant persons shortcomings. This isn't the moralbass forums after all.

Everyone has different criteria when purchasing their gear. That being the case, I find the previous direction of this thread perfectly relevant and infomative to others that look at those avenues before a purchase. Skipping past the posts might be less of an annoyance than reading and commenting on them.

color me interested.

David was a great guy when I met him, very down to earth and smart - and his amps & speakers rocked my world. Still do - I love the 550 - just not the weight. I used them long before I ever endorsed them.

And for what its worth - Lane has always been a good guy, and I consider him a friend. I have seen some of the stuff he's been stuck with - and he did as well as could be expected. He's always been upfront & honest with me - and straightforward. I appreciate that.

I can't wait to see what David's doing now!!

This is just how it always was with Eden. Promise of something, and then all letdowns with excuses ruling the day. Even if the products they release are good, this kind of thing is beyond annoying. I say again that this startup company needs someone who is good at getting stuff done when it's supposed to get done. Make it a rule to under promise and over deliver. My perception as well as many others is that Eden didn't have that kind of person. When it comes to PR, perception is reality.

A new era of broken promises, it looks like.... just like the old days. But they didn't say what TIME on the 13th, or in what timezone, so they've still got a few hours...

but based on past practices, I'm not holding my breath. Did that once for a year with them, while they had my $2,000.00....

Color me weird but all the little nuances seems to attract me more. It's like I know this crazy artist guy that will one day paint an amp for me, but I have to order through his heroin dealer and pick it up in Bangkok. Ok, extreme example but it adds a little personality to it other than "built in usa pawned through guitar center". I do live below sea level after all......:ninja:

Man, a whole lotta people are clinging to this 13 January thing as if it's gospel!

C'mon guys, every other major luthier/amp maker runs a few days behind schedule. I know Dave/Lane/Eden/DNA are operating under a microscope because of what's happened in the past, but if Dave doesn't get his website up on the exact day he said he would, can anyone possibly get that upset about it?

I've had wonderful interactions with several luthiers, amp makers, and pedal builders (all small operations, not like Fender or Gibson), and although almost all of them run behind their quoted build times and their quoted estimates to send updates, they all do get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

Let the man get his business set up, and if the only thing that suffers is his web site going live, we'll all be falling over each other to try whatever it is he comes up with like we always do. :)
