That looks like it has a Flame pattern on the top of the body?
Definitely an Edge Q5 in Trans Amber Burst.

These are MSRP prices. Street prices new were usually about $150 less at larger stores like Guitar Center. Mom & Pop stores usually sold at MSRP.

Just for comparison here is my Edge 5 Fretless. Not an Edge 5Q.
Similar, but not Quilt or Flame top. And no EMG HZ pups.
Here is a catalog cut from the 2007/2008 catalog for the Edge 5 without the Quilt Top and DMT pups
And here is a price from the 2008 Price list just for comparison. Your Edge Q5 has an MSRP significantly higher than the Edge 5. ($190 difference)

Not sure, but the bridge on yours might have been a previous owner upgrade.. If you have any close up pix of the bridge in brighter light I could make a better determination.

Can the neck of the Dean Custom Zone be swapped out for a Fender jazz neck?
Got my bass back (just haven’t posted about it); buzzes in spots. Just thinking of worst-case scenario.

I'd say no, but have no experience in doing so.
I could compare them next to each other.
I just realized that a TB member has owned a few different color version of this bass. @rtslinger might be able to help you.
"Buzzes on spots" Did you set it up? The neck relief and bridge saddle heights? If you have then you should get a fret rocking and check to see if you have a fret height issue.
I have two Zone bass as has been mention above, no issue with them after I set them up. Get with them often
