My USA Dean Prototype Hillsboro J bass arrived... in two parts on two different days. The body arrived Saturday and the neck arrived today. Made by luthier Jonathan Hill for the 2009 NAMM show when Jon was still at Dean.
Two Bartolini J pups, flats, one volume and 3 way pup switch. Maple FB and Birdseye Maple Neck and Ash Body.
Oil open rubbed wax pore finish.
Very deep dark tone with the flats on it. Playing closer to bridge brings some highs. Thin fast neck.
This is my second USA Dean and I am very impressed. Gentleman from Canada is selling his collection due to health issues.
