Digitech bp355 patch ideas

Crystal man, big thanks to you. I just bought a BP355 and your patch ideas are very good. Thank you for sharing them.
I came up with more patches, starting from you VT bass clean.
I wonder why you dont post the patches in .bp355p format as it could be very useful.
Here attached find the patch a came up from your VT bass clean. It was made using a PJ bass with all knobs turned up, so for some basses it may be necessary to adjust the gain level.
You only have to change the extension from .txt to .bp355p (the site didn't let me upload .bp355p file).

All effects are prepared to be used too, so you can try it with chorus and or reverb etc...

I normally post patch ideas here because it's the one resource I know where many bassists can get some nifty patch ideas for their digitech bp355.

Hi!...
I want to make a question to who knows, especially @Crystalman85 because I see that you have the BP355 long enough and you know it. I have seen that you can create patches in Performance mode, and if you change to the stomp footswitch mode you can add three different effects on your patch (to play over in deed). Can you set/modify Those 3 different effects? .

Actually, i have a BP90, but you only play with patches (like performance mode in BP355) and cannot assign any effect to the pedals.
I'm seeing a Zoom b3 also, but I like the BP355 because you can have more effect at the same time on a patch and this include a expression pedal.

If by set/modify, you mean adjust the setting to a certain patch, then yes you can do that. like the zoom b3 patch ideas thread, the whole point of this thread is to post nifty patch ideas. and if they want to, they can adjust the settings of the patch to their liking. rather if it's the setting of the amp model or the effects. so if there's a patch you like and you want to some adjustments of the setting to your liking, you can do that. and I did have the digitech bp355 for a while and have it long enough to know how it functions. right now, I no longer own it. but I have come up with some nifty patch ideas after that. I've since then moved on to the zoom b3.

What I meant is that if you could assign and turn on/off a different effect to the pedals, not include in your patch, but I saw a video and the footswitch stomp mode can only turn on/off effects already in the patch. That was my doubt.

Thank you

Oh that...I think there's a way to do that. I think you hold the 2nd and 3rd pedal on the digitech bp355 and it should be set to manual mode. this will only turn on and off distortion, chorus, and delay effects.

Yes, manual says that, but apparently only can activate /deactive distortion, chorus, and delay effects if already is on the patch.

It won't change to different effects. it can only activate and deactivate certain effects. if you want different effects, you're gonna have to create certain patches for them and use the digitech bp355 in memory mode. also please do not go off topic on this thread. this thread is specifically for patch ideas for the digitech bp355. if you want to talk about stuff like that, go to this thread. there you can ask whatever question you got for the digitech bp355.

Digitech BP-355

hey guys i'm new with bp355 can anyone help me get this kind of bass tone. its a bit punchy . here's the link:

I managed to get a similar sound when playing "This is Amazing Grace," and it had nothing to do with my effects pedal.

1) Round wound strings
2) Use a pick
3) Keep the left hand as close to the nut as possible (stay inside the first five frets)
4) Using the guitar's onboard EQ, boosted the mids to capture the 1st harmonic

Sounds like you could get that sound with either the svt amp and cab model with a bright eq or the marshall volume master amp model with an svt 8x10 cab model. give this patch a try and see if it works out for you.

Fretless/wah: off
Compressor: cscomp---40---25---80
Distortion: off
Amplifier(amp a): ampeg svt---ampeg svt 8x10---40---70
Amplifier(amp b): marshall volume master---ampeg svt 8x10---25---80
EQ: bright---4---1980---4---5---2
Chorus: off
Reverb: off
Delay: off
Expression: volume

You could try using the ampeg b15 amp model along with a 1x15 cab model to get a motown sound. here's what I came up with.

Fretless/wah: off
Compressor: cs comp---70---40---90
Distortion: off
Amplifier(amp a): ampeg b15---ampeg 1x15---40---59
Amplifier(amp b): fender bassman---ampeg 1x15---40---59
EQ: warm---4---1785---4---3
Chorus: off
Reverb: off
Delay: off
Expression: volume

Give this patch a try and see if it works out for you.

Thanks! I will and get back at y'all!

@Carlos W and @peear Glad the patches worked out for you guys. even though I no longer own a digitech bp355, I did do my best on creating these patches. I could purchase it again to help everyone else here that owns a digitech bp355 and needed some nifty patch ideas. so if you guys want me to, I can do that. just needed to save some cash on buying one once again.

Here's a new patch idea I came up with. this patch has both a warm and clear dirty punch that closely duplicates that of a darkglass b7k and vintage deluxe on each amp channel.

Darkglass preamp

Fretless/wah: off
Compressor: cscomp---40---25---80
Distortion: sparkle drive---30---50---50---80
Amplifier(amp a): digitech clean---ampeg svt 8x10---40---70
Amplifier(amp b): ampeg b15---ampeg svt 8x10---25---80
EQ: warm---4---1987---4---5---2
Chorus: off
Reverb: off
Delay: off
Expression: volume

Note: amp a duplicates the darkglass b7k. and amp b duplicates the darkglass vintage deluxe.
