Did the EB flats fit fine? Contrary to your experience, I love those strings on my other basses and definitely want to try them on my Dingwall.

Take a Dingwall in and sell them on it. I hassled Jason at BSO to carry Dingwall strings. I mentioned it with every order. That being said, I highly doubt my pestering was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I do, but in meetings at work all day. There are a couple Uber Collectors around too although Eddie has more Dingwalls than anyone else on the planet,(and a pile of other rarified instruments)... y’all know @tombowlus right? He flies under the Dingwall radar but has a solid collection too.

Yes, I only have three Dingwalls at the moment (Afterburner 4 prototype, Z3 5-string and a D-bird). Eddie actually has one of my prior Dingwalls (Prima 5).

I have had a few experiences with this, and BOTH of them were held in customs and in both cases we THOUGHT everything was properly provided and filled out. It still took several days (almost a week) to get them cleared through customs. The shame is that the bass did not have to be shipped back to the buyer to correct the paperwork.

Bottom line, monitor the progress on the shipper's web site closely, and if an exception or hold is placed on the instrument next time, get on the horn with customers service for International Shipments and find out what they are missing and get it to them by email.

Here ya go (Vapor Shield first, Super Bright Nickels second):

Both sets were brand new when recorded, Ken Smith CR5 into an Avalon U5. The La Bellas seemed a bit muddy and dead straight out of the package.

Thanks for the audio sample. Very informative, and great solid real life playing! No matter how I search, I’ m not able to find a colour list or chart for the d-bird custom. Sales rep says there are more options compared to standard models but that’s all. Someone can help me again? Sorry, but in the last year I have been obsessed by dingwalls and I’m quite ready to choose my bass.
