Turns out that it's sold. Waiting on pics of an ABZ 5 to arrive....
Which one were you looking at?
Edit: I see where you were looking - what color was it?

Definitely not. That would just make me want to buy one!!! ;-)I mean it does, but...wouldn't you want larger, better to look at photos from multiple angles?
Particularly given it's one of the new indigo-burst Combustions?
I'm not from LA, but I've read that a lot of folks have taken/sent their basses to Mo @ Nordstrand. In fact, he's working on my Super P right now.
Another vote for MosShop at a Nordstrand. Pro low set up guaranteed.
It is a beautiful bass! These new colors rock! Congrats, there are not many of these out there!Permission to join the club. New owner of a Combustion 5, Indigo Burst, 3 pickup beast. Props to @bebass at Sho Me music for the awesome help.
No need to ask permission! Joining the Dingwall club is like perfecting copyright protection. All you need to do is fix it in a tangible medium (or just have it in your handsPermission to join the club. New owner of a Combustion 5, Indigo Burst, 3 pickup beast. I'm from Michigan and sent my Super P all the way to Mo's Shop in California to have it worked on. Honestly, I'd do it again even for something as minor as setting the bass up for B tuning. He's really familiar with Sheldon's basses.Did I mention that I'm anxiously awaiting my new D Bird?
I was on the fence about it for so long, and afraid it was gonna get snagged just before I decided to get one.
Do any Los Angeles area Dingwall owners have suggestions on a tech/shop for modifying the bass to BEAD? I know a competent guy (I've used his services for years), but I'm not sure what his fanned fret experience is, and I'd feel best about going to someone familiar with setting up Dingwalls.

So the NG-3 *does* come with the D-Bird switch?
What about the Combustion 3X?
