ive Been playing Dingwall now for quite a few years as well. About 9 -10. It was all HEAVY metal up until 2018.

My dingwalls are working impeccably well for the jazz/Latin/fusion that I’ve jumped into.

Hello, Dingwall Owners!

I'm seriously considering purchasing my first 5 string Dingwall and I've been looking at the Combustion and NG2 models. I'm doing Top 40/RB/variety band gigs and after reading the reviews and looking at the you tube videos, I'm thinking that the Combustion is more suited to my situation but I have to admit, that Ferrari Yellow NG2 keeps calling out to me. So my question is, is there anyone here that is using the NG2 for non-metal "regular bar band/festival gigs" like me?

Andy Irvine and one other guy have NG2 videos on youtube where they get a variety of tones out of them but I'm wondering if I can get some comments about NG2's performing in these types of gigs in the wild.

I use a SP/J 4 (my main player) and a Z3 fiver and I don’t play one lick of metal. Just good ol’ hard rocking Blues/Rock/Country type of stuff.

That looks like the really beat up one that for sale on the guitar centre website last year. If it is the same it looked like it had gouges down the neck.

It isn't that one. That one was blue, not teal. Metallic hot rod blue.

Nice looking early Zebra 2. At $3000, it seems like it could be a good player for someone. I personally don't love the Bartolini pickups/preamp, but if you were to get a decent price on it, you could drop in your favorites fairly easily.

...On the homefront, Canada Post tells me it's new string day at the Skies' house.

Man, am I feeling lucky. Not only did I just score that beautiful and barely used bubinga-wenge AB II, but today I confirmed that one of these Ducati white beauties is coming my way next week! I may end up being the first guy on the block with a NG3 6 string.

This was just the same one NaH posted above, it's most recent Reverb listing says it is a Sklar model but as NaH says the pickups are wrong for a Sklar. The listing I posted tells the story of it being signed by Sheldon while he was at the store so I trust that they listed it accurately with information from the man himself

I think I'm going to order a Super P.... Now the burning question is: is a top worth it on a Super P when the pickguard will cover so much of it?
