My Combustion hangs from the wall & every now and again, I run my finger over each string & listen to
which string acoustically resonates the loudest & it's always the A followed by the D string !? The Bridge pickup is the one I lower & raise the Neck pickup , in order to soften the Gstring, which for me is too bright. String height
& pickup height is amazingly critical for tone & balance across the strings. The EMG preamp, IMO, is a little
disappointing, but I favor passive more anyway, so no big deal. Needless to say the sound is staggeringly
good.

IMO

The EMG is subtle but articulate. It’s very clean and adds a little pronouncement to what is already pronounced.

The Darkglass is a shot of adrenaline to the heart! It can be tamed down and reigned in but it is brass knuckles on a big fist. In a good way of course

The Glockenklang is just beauty. It adds to amazing. It’s extremely musical and add floating hearts and shimmering angels singing to whatever you play.

All voice differently but have a place. The DG is winning me over not so slowly but I’m still in mad love with the glockenKlang

So i ordered the "real" Dingwall Knobs from Bassdirect for my NG3 and i am kinda looking forward to them since i really dislike "speeddomes" in general.
Just out of curiosity:
- it says on the website that the knobs on the NGs are with a wormscrew, funny enough only the rotary switch knob has that on my NG3, all the other knobs are just pressfit and have a huge plastichousing in them. Wonder if that changed over the time.

I really hope the injectionmold Dingwallknobs will look amazing since 48 pounds are kinda hefty for a student haha

I think about the same. Bassdirect is even cheaper than dingwall directly...
And with my knobs it´s the opposite. The Rotary has the plastik and the other ones are with screws

60 C$ = 39,67 € (Dingwall)
37,50 £ = 42,89 € (Bassdirect)

Bassdirect isn't cheaper. But of course with customfees (Which will happen if you order from Canada to Germany) and the cost to ship them Bassdirect is probably cheaper for us germans yeah. I paid 47,50 £ (54,33 €) for it total (with shipment). Thankfully GB is still EU for now ;) so we don't have to pay customfees (yet).

I have an NG-2 & the playability & constructions are EXCELLENT !!
Plays effortlessly can get action super low and fingerboard radius is great.

The feel of the neck is one of the best I’ve ever felt. Feels super smooth and high quality.

For our pre-orders, it is aquamarine then a tie of blue purple colorshift and vintage burst then black. As these hit the market who knows which will be more popular. It will be interesting to see. Which brings up a problem for dealers; which colors to order more of? But this is an age-old problem and one has to use best guess. I ordered the vintage burst for myself, but guess I would really be happy with any of them but perhaps less happy with the most popular choice as I am old and bling is not my thing. But I may like it more in-person once they come in.

I've owned Dingwalls with DG, EMG, Glockenklang and Aquilar preamps. The only one I didn't care for was the Aguilar. Too hot for my tastes. But I gotta agree with you, there is magic in the Glock. The word pristine comes to mind.

On the bottom is my F# Afterburner HS bubinga/maple top/wenge/birdseye (FD3 pickups w/ toggles & Glock pre)

On top is my B-standard ABZ swamp ash/northern ash top/maple/maple (super fatty II pickups w/ toggles and Darkglass pre)

Sheldon and the guys have taken such great care of me over the years!

How did you guys find the Glockenang was if using overdrive and distortion?
