This is a limited edition so if adopted as production, the current list of finishes would be there to choose from.

Fair enough. But are you saying no to this limited edition, the body style (with the DW curve and reshaped lower horn), D-birds in general, or my idea of adopting the body style as what the new Canadian D-birds should look like (with the various current finishes available) and the DGTC as an option?

No, it's not Lee. It's described as a Darkglass distortion circuit which I wouldn't want (though some probably would). That's why I suggested the DGTC. I know the D-bird is all passive, but why not have the DGTC as an option?

Also, notice the difference in the bottom horn allowing greater access to the upper frets. Nice. I really think @Sheldon D. should adopt this form for the Canadian D-birds (which I think this is) and allow for the addition of the DGTC as an option.

I could take or leave the onboard drive, but if this ever comes out as a standard in a solid color like gunmetal, I will buy it. Even if I have to sell other basses. Let it be known...

New bridge

If I didn't already have 3 basses on order, I'd seriously consider this, UNLESS it is $5k and NOT Canadian.

I just spent some time reading through the facebook comments on this, Sheldon said that the bridge is new and going into production now. I'm hoping all the Chinese models get that bridge, it looks a lot nicer than the Hipshot rails.

He also confirmed that it is indeed a Chinese model and the price will be slightly north of an NG3.

I like a lot of the features on this new D-Bird and with any other paint job I'd probably be interested, but the comic book thing just doesn't do it for me at all.

What was the initial ETA on yours? Mine was supposed to be here in April and I was told there is a 2 month delay now.
