Not a fan of the Dbird, but that one is schmick.

I like that body, it has the DG preamp but no so much into the graphics. Hellboy is kind of a cool comic but not cool enough to be the paint job on a bass I own. If it was Star Wars I would probably be all in.
I never even heard of Hellboy, but I think it looks damn cool, and so do my three kids. That might be all the excuse I need to order one. Where are they made?

New bridge

5. Lastly, do any of you with a SJ5, SP5, SJP5 or SPJ5 thinking of selling one in the next little while? If so, please PM me asap. I will likely get one of the ones available unless I find something I like better. Btw, I already reached out to Andy but he won't sell me his beautiful blue SJ5.
Ah, too bad you're looking for a 5--I'll be selling my stunning SJ4 soon and I'm also in Ottawa.

Totally dig the body! Totally dig the graphics! Totally dig that it's a 5er! Not totally digging the idea of an onboard distortion, but it's Darkglass, so it probably sounds decent, but I'd probably see if I could order it without the distortion circuit.

If I didn't already have 3 basses on order, I'd seriously consider this, UNLESS it is $5k and NOT Canadian. If I'm gonna spend that much, on one bass, it's gonna be a Z3, a US Spector(NS-2 or NS-5XL), or, maybe, a Fodera Emperor Standard.

That's just me, tho...

Also, notice the difference in the bottom horn allowing greater access to the upper frets. Nice. I really think @Sheldon D. should adopt this form for the Canadian D-birds (which I think this is) and allow for the addition of the DGTC as an option.

It's definitely a cool body shape. I think they'd sell more with alternate finishes...

This is a limited edition so if adopted as production, the current list of finishes would be there to choose from.
No thank you.
Fair enough. But are you saying no to this limited edition, the body style (with the DW curve and reshaped lower horn), D-birds in general, or my idea of adopting the body style as what the new Canadian D-birds should look like (with the various current finishes available) and the DGTC as an option?

I don’t think a Tone Capsule is going in this Hell Boy D Bird...
