I'll take a close look at Payson's medium lights, when I have a couple extra bucks (CAD to USD conversion is never fun). I was not sure if they would be appreciably lighter than the stock strings, so I didn't throw their name into my initial post. I've also heard positive things about Kalium strings themselves, but it sounds like getting them delivered in a timely fashion has been hit or miss lately (correct me if those problems have been rectified).

Nope. The conversion sucks.... but an extra $10 to find out if they are the magic for you is a pretty low cost considering your not putting them on a $200 bass.

It can be a hit or miss, last night was a hit, band was on fire, people danced and cheered and had a good time.

If i had a 2nd combustion or ng2/ng3 it would be white.

Wow! We're having major flooding here in the east with massive rainfalls and a quick thaw after a long winter with lots of snow. They've had to close some nearby bridge because the water level has gotten so high. It's the same or worse than we had two years ago. It seems abnormal weather is becoming the new norm.

Yeah. It’s just cycles in the grand scheme. Kinda like being a teenager with “*** is this acne crap all over my face”. It’s sort it self and calm down eventually. We may be long dead by the time it happens though. Ha

Where exactly are you plucking? The tension will feel slightly less if you move your attack position a little farther from the bridge. Give that a try.

A quick string question, I have been digging about for the info but not found it.

Can someone confirm that the strings Dingwalls ship with are the SS ones please?

I have an NG3 about to arrive "DAS cured" and I would like Nickel's on it. So do I need to grab myself a set in preparation?
