they’re nice. But if there was a BassMute available for multiscale instruments I’d use that instead. The BassMute is the best mute I’ve had.

easy actually. If the gig calls for flats or rounds, or if a 5 string is required......I string my maple boards with rounds, my PF boards with flats.
Do you ever take more than one? For example, for gigs when you need a bass with flats and another with rounds?

Absolutely if that’s what the gig requires.
But I’d say that most if the gigs I do, my 4 string with flats gets the call. I mainly play blues and old school R&B.
But I try to be versatile enough to play whatever is appropriate for the genre and/or gig. With an emphasis on TRY lol
They truly do have different voices though
what is your fingerboard made of? The trans white one is my second favorite of my basses. She is very light for a 5er and speaks with great authority.

I have a wonderful NG3, but the last position with all 3 Pickups together is a bit of a overkill during a Set. I like to play the pos. 2 with pick and the 4th pos. with fingers.
Is it possible to wire the second position (Bridge and Middle) in Serial so the volume push / drop is not sooo extreme.

You could switch to the 3x switch which would give you that. You’d lose middle solo’d but gain B/n as a bonus.
Ok so I put one layer of normal paper under the E string at the nut and it does not buzz anymore.

I cannot, for the life of me, choose a finish. I think that might be the most difficult part of ordering. Pretty much all the other details are more or less set - though, I'm working with a couple people on developing a new preamp that may end up in this build.
