As someone who had an AB1 and sold it and still regret it...Don't do it man. You've been playing that one for a good long time. I can't believe it hasn't grown roots.

In the things that make you go hmmm... category. I just heard from Jason that my "end of November" changed to "1.5 - 2 months out" AB1 is now ready and will most likely ship tomorrow.

Sweet! Happy for you, my man! I'm hoping that bodes well for my ABZ6, that was slated for "end of November" also.

I can only repeat what I'm told... I did a double take when I was told your AB1 was finished this afternoon! WOOOOOOO!!!!!

Nothing has been decided. If the Super J had 24 frets, that would be the dream bass. That is the perfect scale length for E-C. I love my ABZ obviously. But the super long scale length is giving my hands a bit of aches and pains during long sessions.

I totally get that. Obviously, none of us wants you to get rid of your Dingwall, but if you're still into multi-scale, have you given any thought to the Strandberg basses?

I've given a LOT of thought into the Strandberg basses. Haha. I can't get rid of the multiscale, I love the design too much.

I've given a LOT of thought into the Strandberg basses. Haha. I can't get rid of the multiscale, I love the design too much.

Even though I'm a total Dingwall fanboi (#Dingwall4Lyfe!), I really dig the Strandberg Boden Prog 5! I just think it's a cool instrument. Then again, I like headless guitars...

I played one of the guitars, scratch that, I PRETENDED to play one of the guitars, LOL! One of my local GCs had a used one. Fortunately, it was in the room with the "expensive" stuff, so there wasn't anyone in there for me to annoy with my lack of guitar playing skills. The neck would take some getting used to, but most folks that play them say the feel really good after you get used to them. Never seen one of the basses in person, but, at some point, my Sweetwater card will have enough room for one...

I figure that as far as feel and tone are concerned, the D-Roc is just like the old D-Bird, and I do like my D-Bird.

Quite similar.

The D-Roc lighter and better balanced, and I think the D-Roc may be tonally a bit brighter as well.
