Dingwall Owners Club

The one I played had 3 pickups and I found that I was hitting the neck pickup with my fingers while playing it. I also didn't find a good place to rest/anchor my thumb. Are most Dingwall players pick players? Any finger-style players out there? Where do you anchor your thumb?
Fingers only, floating thumb.
The pickups act as a ramp so you will hit them with your current technique, just lay back a bit and it will clean up your finger style. Soon you will be playing better than ever once you realize you do not need to dig in as much to get a great boom out of your Dingwall.

Hey Dingsters,

Have any of you experimented with different strap pin locations? Is there some sort of guide available to help guide one as to where moving the strap button has what effect on the basses orientation?

I think I'd like my SJ to hang a bit more towards my fretting hand and out of the way from my big fat gut......

Many thanks in advance!

I installed a recessed rear button to my Combusion recently and it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

But despite taking all sorts of preventative measures, the very thick, very brittle clear coat still chipped. If you don't have the clearcoat your job will be far easier.

I was able to hide the chip buy filling with laquer and using a stainless shim washer to cover it, don't panic it still looks pretty good.

Dingwall "Tech" sent me a diagram for fitting this to a Combustion/NG, you will of course need an SJ specific one for your aplication.

I’ll fill the silence with a picture.

This lost love was my graduation from an equivalent of coke to heroine addiction.

It was the point of no return..... for my wallet.
Speaking of lost loves, I now have zero of these ex-girlfriends in my life. Just the two Prima Donnas in their place.
The one that I miss the most? The one that I actually played a lot, the Orange Swirl NG2:

Did you actually name them Donna? :roflmao:
I have never actually adopted the habit of naming my instruments. I would have a hard time coming up with 92 names for the ones I have left. But I suppose those two are special, I should give them names, shouldn't I? Maybe Donna and Facie? :)
