As an NG-3 owner, I've been a little confused about the pickup switch configuration on my bass. Mine is one of the late 2018, early 2019 versions. When I first plugged it in, I could have sworn it was the D-Bird 3X. The #4 position seems to be too massive to just be Neck only. If I were to provide Dingwall the serial number, would they be able to confirm my configuration?

It should be printed on the back of the switch if you just open up the control cavity.

If you pull the cavity cover off the switch will be labeled. 3x or Dbird

A quick and dirty method would be to take your old B string and roll sandpaper around it until it's the thickness you need to file the slot out. Then just move it back and forth through the slot. If you go this route I'd recommend doing it in increments and checking the fit of your .145 frequently. Not as "legit" as having the right sized file but I've gotten good results with this method.

I've done this before with ok results. I've also used the new string with a little better results.

I’m thinking about the duties to get it into the USA from Canada. Or maybe the duties are different in the USA for the non-Canadian models that come through Canada?
