I cannot speak politics but I can say AmenI am not a number, I am a free man!
Anyone had issues with the Dunlop recessed strap lock housings on the back of their basses?
The neck one on my D-roc has become loose.
Same thing happened to me on my SJ.Ignore this folks.
First time I've used recessed strap locks and they have a screw in their base. Just needed tightening Doh!!

As I like to say, fanned frets make my fingers less stupid.Well it's been 3 days and I can honestly say my concerns wether I'll manage a multiscale 5 string were nonsense.
I have small-ish hands for a bassist, but if anything, I'm finding playing on the fan fret board is easier than a regular fret neck.
I seem to move about the board more freely and only occasionally feel the additional stretch in the fingers
I'm converted![]()
This literally happened one time in my early days of my career.HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

The DAS is strong with this oneYou aren't the only one.
Wednesday of last week I brought home my first Dingwall, the C3 and added the Darkglass pre. Fell hard for it.
Yesterday I bought an NG3 in black.
I'm about to lay out $$ on a build for Z.
Yeah, I'm hooked.
Do you know if this will be available for later viewing as well?Anyone else going to jump on the Livestream of Sheldon at Berklee College of music:
Starts at 1pm Eastern
IIRC the fan is a bit different on the D-Roc, as in the parallel fret is at a different spot. As to the neck shape, I’m not sure - my D-Bird 4 isn’t directly comparable to my 6 string CombustionAre the Droc 5 Standard necks the same shape and dimensions as the combustion/NG? Or a different animal altogether? I haven’t been keeping up and haven’t had time to look into it ... but these Droc 5s have me thinking about giving the long scales a proper try.

That was a great stream to watch, many thanks to @Sheldon D. Having Lee pop in was extra cool. Learned a lot.Anyone else going to jump on the Livestream of Sheldon at Berklee College of music:

Indeed! Lots of useful information/insights. Thank you, Sheldon! That was a great stream to watch, many thanks to @Sheldon D. Having Lee pop in was extra cool. Learned a lot.
Sounds cool. I look forward to watching this!Glad to s
This was awesome! I have seen shorter videos of Sheldon, read and had forum interactions here on on his over the years - I know he is smart, positive, creative, etc. but I really enjoyed this. I liked the format and I definitely got a glimpse of so many interesting thoughts/ideas/concepts. I really like that Energetic Feedback Loop (having experienced it but not defined it), using the 2 contrasting gigs to support concepts, the surprise guest, Steve Bailey's interjections and supporting points (the 5 string bass early years story especially was good), the tone woods part was spot on (I know I play my Z better because of the note response) - that was all great. But man, then Sheldon closing - Brain Dump, Gratitude and Visualization - that's gold right there @Sheldon D. ! Thank you!
Time to go pickup my Dingwall, jam and experience some of these concepts in action!
