I've never felt comfortable on a warwick or spector style (really flat radius) neck. It always feels like the G string is a mile off the board. It's probably why the NG feels more "at home" to me.

Sounds like you already got your setup dialed in, but when I read your post, my thought was that .015" at the 7th fret is already a pretty flat neck; that's on the thin side of the business card rule of thumb. And the fact that your action at the neck heel is high would probably make me want to lower the bridge saddles a bit before I touched the truss rod again.

But, it really depends on your touch - I tend to be a bit hamfisted, so I need to retain a certain amount of relief in the neck to keep it from fretting out when I dig in.

I should have clarified, it was a .015 feeler gauge, so the same as what Sheldon recommends.. roughly a .38mm pick.

I got the relief down to a .008 feeler gauge with my preferred string height. Now I'm in a great spot. Low, fast, this is more my style.

As one who appreciates quick/easy/light load ins/outs with ample volume and versatility, I pretty much exclusively play an MB800 through either a fEARful 12/6 or 15/6. There are SO many other tasty flavors to be had but living up 3 flights of stairs and gigging multiple times a week keeps me from investing in vintage or otherwise heavy equipment. As has been said: You really can't go wrong if you're playing a Dingwall!

Noble+QSC GX7+Genzler BA cabs= The sound in my head. I do always have a backup amp handy, in case of a catastrophic pedalboard or power amp failure. My backup head is a Bergantino Forte HP, the best single box amp I've ever had.

All of my basses sound great thru the Bergantino head, but this pedalboard, still a W.I.P., is incredible! :thumbsup:

C5 or ABZ > Jules Amps Monique 700 > Fearless F112s
For character, Union Lab/Empress comp and a bunch of Broughton/Sushi Box pedals, or more recently Quad cortex. Quite versatile.

My new NG2 is under the tree! =( But I play through a Peavey BAM 2x10 combo w/a 2x10 peavey ext cab. 500 watts at 2ohm. This amp has out-performed my Ampeg AND Mesa set up. I really like the onboard effects and compression. Leaves less pedals, not a big fan of pedals but 2 or 3.

This succeeds where so many other cover/tribute bands fail; energy and stage presence, combined with a point of view.

So many go down the rabbit hole of “sounds just like…” and leave the audience wondering why they didn’t stay home and just listen to the CD

Can anyone with a push/pull for active-passive on the Vol knob - and with Darkglass pre installed - PM me a photo of the cavity and a close up of the Vol pot? I just want to see which lugs the wires are going to on the Vol pot. I'm pretty sure I have it correct, but I want to double check before I do surgery. Would be greatly appreciated, I've searched all over for cavity shots and can't find one clean enough.

Absolutely! I liked their rendition of Mudvayne's "Dig". Years ago I would have scoffed at someone not playing it like Ryan Martinie because he was a game changer for me with bass. After maturing (a lot) in my approach and appreciation for music over the years, the energy they put into it and how they played it was great! Major respect for tearing it up and getting people excited.
