Dingwall Owners Club

it didn’t cost you anymore did it? Surely dingwall covered any incurred expense?

Ive had at least 3 with BEM without issue.

Ive also seen the photos of the faulty neck bonfire…. :crying:

I paid an extra $755 CAD (just looking at the price list, can’t recall how much in Oz bucks I paid) for the birdseye. I’m now getting a wenge fretboard which is standard. Granted I’m also getting the Prima smoke inlays on the new neck. I received the bass in April last year, after waiting two years for it to be built in the first place, so that’s the ‘long’ of it.
Of course the new neck is being built under warranty.

On the subject of how well the bass is holding up, I've had my AB1 fretted since 2007 and it's a couple of years older than that. I'm amazed at how hard the finish is. In spite of the usual dings it's taken, most don't seem to leave a mark when you might expect. Weather is pretty stable here - I haven't played with the neck much.
The thing I've had to fix most is the jack. I think I'm on my 3rd Neutrik socket and this one is on the way out. The volume pot is getting slightly scratchy. Otherwise it goes like new.

Are you getting a refund for the BEM?

That is the cheapest I have seen a DBird! Someone on here is about to be real lucky. If they like Dingwall and rare items.

It seems like all the ones I’ve seen come up are that color pattern.
