Does anyone know if there are plans to offer the D-Roc standard in white?

Asking because I saw this Instagram post of theirs, and it seems odd to give an endorsee a standard in a different finish without plans to sell it more broadly or something:

I have been considering getting a 4 string in black to tune to drop G# so I don't need to keep my NG3 6 in that tuning for a band I'm in, and a white would be much more appealing and match the band's aesthetic better. Just wish it had an ebony board...

Newtone Platinum finish steel strings have a smooth, nickel-like feel. They lose a bit of their bite though, so I prefer the standard Diamond finish strings. Newtone Strings – British Handmade Guitar Strings

I'll keep the Newtones in mind if the Fat-Beams don't work out.

I hope you all don't misunderstand, I'm not criticizing Dingwall in any way, I love what they are, and what they do; otherwise I wouldn't still have 2 of 'em. I just want a bit more bite, probably a result of 25 years of gigging on my 70 year old ears.

I have a bass with D'Addario Pro Steels on them and I can't say I notice a drastic difference between them and the nickels.

I have a bass that came with house branded stainless strings (made by GHS, I think) and noticed a bit of a rougher feel at first, but I got used to it and think nothing of it now. I need to change them out and am wondering if I should go to nickels. I have some DR Low Riders in stainless, so I might put them on...

No, you haven't missed the point at all, and I don’t get it either. Maybe my Sunbeams died prematurely, they usually last a long time. Maybe I need to switch it to all FDVs. The strings just seem a possible easy fix. I'll know tomorrow

It worked perfectly for my Country band and with the selector on middle/bridge in series it gets a little attitude, but doesn't get Thunderbird bite and growl. Neither does my Droc for that matter. My rigs are fine, that's what I practice and gig through. I know that's not the Dingwalls forte, so I'd be happy just to get sonically a little closer and think steels will help.

Preamps are SushiBox tube pedals, I'm addicted to them, and really happy with my Markbass 210/112 stacks.

I took the FDV out of my D-roc within a day cos I found they just lacked a bit of oomph for me. I’m not a big fan of non Dingwall strings on my super either, other than TI flats.
