Just a thought, but I've picked up guitar in addition to bass and was about to get a PRS HDRX 20 in addition to my Genzler 350/10-2/12-3 setup.

Then I ran across the Line-6 Helix LT as an excellent amp modeler and I can get rid of a lot of my pedals now that they can be simulated pretty accurately with the Helix. The Genzler is flat and has full frequency response, so I can get a nice bass amp when I need one, or I can put the Helix in front of it and dial in an Orange, Marshall, Fender Deluxe, or any number of amp/cab combinations.

OK, what's the downside if it doesn't affect the tone? (LaBella Flatwound XL ... missed it by "that much" ...)

Modelers are very awesome options these days. I went for a Helix Floor for awhile but I was drawn back to amps and pedals. I have an Orange tube combo amp that I love for guitar. I have gigged for a good bit with an Orange AD200b in the past and LOVED it. I can’t help myself, I love the old tech and the new tech!

Jason gave me a little nudge on this just a few minutes ago, lol. My wallet is shaking in a corner right now.. begging and pleading :roflmao:

The ability to bring the middle pickup in and out is pretty cool. Nice alternative to the 6-way.
Yeah, that is a pretty cool idea. It seems that the reverb ad got a bit mixed up, it says the toggle is for changing the mid-freq, while Dingwall’s social media says it’s for the middle pickup.

I’d love to try the electronics package out on, as was said above, a 4 or 6 string.

That’s gotta be slightly muted on the open B. There are alternatives that fit properly and are designed for Dingwall’s 37”-34” fanned scale.

Exciting Dingwall news! John reached out today to get my final specs for the bass!!

Super exciting, isn’t it? May we ask what your specs are? Unless you want it to be a surprise, of course.

I'm getting a Z 6/3, wenge neck, speedo inlays, passive, finished in an obnoxious bright color (That'll be the surprise!)

I love surprises!!

Obnoxious bright color, you say? Surprise!

Actual Bass 2 - Finished Body Shot (full).jpeg

The picture posted earlier on FB was a bit more orange/red than the sample yellow/gold with mahogany I had chosen (the originally chosen top color sample is lying on the bass), but Kaylon reassured me that this was the more accurate image, so stop fretting...er...worrying. (I was really OK either way, but I thought I should mention the seeming mis-match in case something was missed and there was a process improvement to be gained. In my eyes, she's a classic beauty in any tint.)

I haven't seen the shop do this combo before, and I'm tickled (shell) pink!

Still working on that roasted ash/wenge/speedo neck thing, but all in good time....
