That's not cool. I spec'd the D-Roc switch in my AB because I'm addicted to soloing the middle pickup. The all-on is pretty cool too.

I didn't get the 6 way from Dingwall, should have specified that. While it worked, 6 was really too much. 4 seems like the sweet spot. (At least to me YMMV)

I recently saw that bass on insta and was surprised by how much I like the ferrari red as a matte color. Bold, but works great with the dark neck.

Yeah, I like it much better with a dark board than the NG version with maple.

Most/All of the ones I had/have came 9v. That said, perhaps check with helge at glockenklang but lost are able to run at 18

My ABII is 9V as well. You could probably mod it to run 18v, though.

My ABZ 5's Glock is 9v. I think only the Darkglass is 18v. The good thing about the Glock is I usually keep it flat and just adjust according to the room/stage. It's very transparent.

The preamp is 9/18v; it'll run on either. The main factor to me is the room in the compartment for an extra 9V.

18k is so high, what treble freqs do you guys prefer? If you prefer the higher treble could you share how you use it? I've had the DG tone capsule and while it isn't my favorite it made me realize I would rather control H/L mids.

That's where it's centered, how it reacts would depend on the slope. I'm interested in how it will respond in passive mode. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

My '09 Super J/P has a two-battery compartment. I don't know if the batteries are in parallel or series (9 or 18v).

They should be in series. A few older ones did come 18v or were modded to that. I think most dingwalls came 9v and some of the older glockenklang pres were not alterable from 9v.

Glock Pre is designed to be volume equivalent from passive to active w/ centered eqs, I believe.
In passive, the treble pot is maxed at center detent and rolls off the tone going down. From center to wide open, it stays the same.

The passive tone control is disabled when in active mode, it's a normal treble boost/cut at that point.

I find that the volume is equivalent between active and passive, but there is a bit more high end in active mode. Cutting the treble can sound very similar to passive though.

That's what I was going for and explained poorly. Thanks! Oh side note - I need 9V batteries for my bass' arrival tomorrow and I broke my rule of never buying the over priced grocery store or pharmacy batteries, well these Energizers have a 5 year life. Just looked at the side of the batteries .... and they expire next year. Womp womp.

I have a bad habit of buying the most expensive 9Vs I can find. I was oddly excited about Josh Scott's last April Fools joke video about vintage 9Vs (my favourite April Fools of all time).
