Owch. That bridge sure does look pretty. Too bad about the fitting. On a lesser bass, I would be tempted to router it in, but not on that one. Maybe make a shim out of black Delrin?

IMHO it boils down to this:
You don't live in CONUS, you're basically screwed. Second class. Only few people will sell you stuff at all. Most often you read "CONUS only". Sometimes asking helps and the seller will sell to you. But that means you're slow and you can only score the high priced items that don't sell quickly. So you buy expensive, if at all.
Then there's the customs charges and taxes as well as the extensive shipping costs. This makes you buy for even higher costs.
This leads to yet another problem. Selling. You will either sell at a big loss or not at all. Because when you're the seller, you have the same problem as above. You don't live in CONUS. And if your ads are read - and that is a big IF - most of the potential buyers have doubts. As you have experienced in this thread.
So swapping gear is next to impossible without great sacrifice.
Now ... we have some fine folks here and with patience and the will to sacrifice time and / or money you will get there. But you'll always be second class.
I have been doing this for more than 20 years now (not only TB) and that basic pattern is always there.
Good idea with the delrin, I have wood that would work but I'm far from a craftsman. I may just let a pro handle it. This bass is so modded at this point I'm not letting it go for a second time.
Screw it... I like lemonade. I was able to bend it a bit (don't ask, do not recommend my method) and got the treble side flush enough. Set up was a breeze and it's playing well. Bonus, plectrum pocket.
I’ve had this Super P5 for about 6 years and this is the first time I’ve ever heard it in standard, non-reverse pickup orientation. I’m surprised to say I like it more than reversed, and I was perfectly happy with the pickup in the reversed orientation.
A kind TB member sent me this pearloid guard a year or two ago when I was asking about getting a tracing so I could try standard P orientation. The pickguard was, somehow, cut wrong from the shop and I had to widen the neck pocket and then add the notch for the bridge pickup. Up close, it’s far from perfect, but now I can use it as a reference to get a fresh pickguard made.
Bonus points that non-reverse just looks better too.

I think the final solution will be to have the body sanded down so there's contact but I had a brilliantly dim idea on how to bend it slightly and luckily it worked without snapping it in half.I love how your solution was to simply bend the fu-- out of it
Is there enough meat on the bottom of the bridge to grind it down so it fits the curve of the body? If so, I’d rather dig into a $150 bridge than a $2000 bass.
$280 bridge... Should be able to plane the wood under the bridge flat and then get another piece of wood to shim it to the proper height. I didn't want to go through that last night as the grounding wire runs across there as well.

That you bent T6061 aluminum without cracking it is either impressive or lucky.
It typically doesn’t like to change its shape much. I am kinda curious how you did it.
Twenty plus years of breaking and fixing cars and motorcycles. Some heat, vice, a thin wrench, patience, and acceptance that if I bend too much too far too fast at the wrong spot I'm out a couple hundred bucks

A question for the group. I’ve pretty much completely “Canadianized” my Combustion 3-6. SF2 pickups, Glock pre, 6way switch, custom Dingwall knobs and a Payson bridge. Is there a tuner upgrade from the standard Hipshot Ultralites? The current ones work fine I just thought “why not “
Not an upgrade, just a lateral move to a different color if you want. Or a drop tuner.

The only difference would be if the stock ones are “licensed by Hipshot” or are USA Hipshots.
So price and maybe some higher spec components will be the difference if they’re “licensed by” or USA.
The Hipshot USA tuners are a definite upgrade. I wanted a drop tuner and ordered the hip shot USA one.Double drop with two stops. It was so much nicer that I replaced the rest to match.
if you have black hardware and want to take 1/2 lb off your headstock, you can put on Gotoh Carbon-O-lite tuners.

The plate and the key are both carbon fiber.
The regular Hipshot HB-1 is 82 grams
82x5 = 410 grams (14.5 oz)
vs
Gotoh Carbon-o-lite 5x 35 grams = 175 grams (6 oz)
Carbon-o-lite is 1/2 lbs lighter than standard tuners.
