Agreed, it does something all the other DG pedals I've owned can't achieve.
I stack it with my Cali 76, DG Harmonic Booster and Genzler 4 on the floor (light drive). It's a clank machine that rivals my DP-3X that I'll probably remove from my board cause it's that good! Through my ABZ, Carbine M6 and Berg HDN212 it's quite literally the best tone I've achieved to date!! I can't wait for the opportunity to hook up my second HDN212!!
I wasn't familiar with the DG Harmonic Booster. I have a Daring Audio Edge Activator HD that really adds some clank to the signal. I love the pedal, but mostly playing in church, I haven't had it on a board in a while.

I looked up the DG Harmonic Booster and found a copycat. I wonder how good/bad the copycat is?

This is the first time I have seen clone/copycat/fake Dark Glass pedals.
I also have the DUG pedal and I really like it too and even used it in church for a while with some tamer settings.

Looks like DemonFX has copies of almost all the Dark Glass pedals. They even sell them on Amazon. I have tried my share of cheap pedals from Amazon and some of them are actually decent. Wonder if these fakes suck?

still waiting! According to production schedule I could still have a month or two to wait but hopefully sooner than later. Trust and believe there will be a ton of photos
actually funny story, the final spec changed bc I ended up with a used Z3 with the same colors I chose so now I’m getting a purple to turquoise reverse burst, contrast layer, solid turquoise back, turquoise headstock and ghost block inlays. Gonna be equally as crazy

Not that I'm planning on getting one anytime soon, but does Dingwall not offer Stainless steel frets as an option on custom builds?
I need some advice from the group. After watching the setup videos on YouTube, I started taking a look at adjusting the action on my "new to me" Afterburner to get the string height comparable to my Roscoes. I found that the truss rod is VERY stiff. At the most, I could get between a 1/8 to a 1/4 turn in either direction, but any more than that, it felt like the wrench could strip the nut. Also, adjusting the string height adjustment screws on the bridge, I have several screws that almost feel cross-threaded. It was impossible to get a couple of those to move without exerting a lot of pressure. I think I might pick up some T-handled Allen keys to get a bit more leverage, but I don't want to push it.
All of this said, does anybody have any ideas regarding lubrication or anything that I could to do address these issues? I experimented with string tension when I was making adjustments, and even with the strings removed, it didn't help. I have an email out to Dingwall Tech Support about this, but I thought I'd try here as well.
Makes me wonder if the Truss rod is hosed would Dingwall would make a new neck for the bass? Really hope that isn't the case, but I really want to get this bass into playing order. I'm pretty blown away by how good the passive electronics sound in this bass. Also wondering if I could get replacement SS bridge screws, or replacement saddles for this bridge. I also have emails out to Sales @ Dingwall, but I haven't heard back from them yet.
Also. I did find out that you can only buy replacement tuners from Dingwall, Hipshot told me that since the tuners are proprietary, you must purchase them through Dingwall.
I appreciate any info or suggestions that anyone may have for me.

Sounds like you’re making a lot of adjustments all at once, have you adjusted the truss 1/4 turn and left if for a bit?
The bridge screws have thread lock on them, first time you adjust them they are super tight and hard to move. You don’t want them lubricated as once they are set you almost never need to adjust them again.
Did you get the tool set with the bass? Make sure you’ve got the right truss rod wrench, it has a ball end. What you describe is very unusual, all my Dingwall truss rod turn easily in either direction, even at pitch.
Saddlescrews are easily replaced, available at any well stocked hardware store.

I found the truss rod on the ABZ6 I once owned to be pretty tough to turn, but it did turn. If the neck needs a lot of truss rod adjustment to get the relief set comfortably that would make me think something was up with the neck because I've only ever had to adjust about a quarter turn in either direction with extreme climate changes.
Well, I am making a lot of adjustments. The string action was off, and the truss rod needed to be tightened. That being said, I followed the same methods that I used when I set up all of my basses. 1/8 to 1/4 turn only, I let it rest, and so on. The issue is that the rod doesn't move freely like my other basses, and I use blue Loctite on all of my hipshot-style A bridges and none of them are that tight. If I didn't think that they were cross-threaded, I would assume that someone used red on the bolts.
I did get the tool kit that comes with the bass, those are the wrenches that I used.
Do you know what kind of screw the saddle screws are? I assume it's a metric stainless steel sockethead screw?
I just got the bass so I can't answer to the amount of movement in the neck. I have been speaking with Dingwall tech this afternoon, and there's a chance that the rod is hung up in the channel, at least I hope that is what it is. I'll report back after some troubleshooting this weekend.
