Dingwall Owners Club

Glad it got sorted out. Luminlay side dots add $110 to the build cost but I wouldn't order a bass without them - so nice to have when the lights go out and you have to be in position for the down beat.

I've been conflicted about the huge upcharge and one year wait for a DROC 5 Custom vs Standard but decided to stick with my custom order. I have a bass with maple neck and pau ferro board but never owned one with a wenge neck and board and want to satisfy that curiosity. This video nails the tone and playing style that works for me. Mine should be quite similar except in burgundy mist with pearloid ellipse markers.

That's going to look great in Burgundy Mist (one of my favorite solid colors)! My curiosity about wenge necks and fingerboards will have to go unsatisfied. I'm done buying basses...

For a guitar player, Tom Sholz sure did come up with some great bass lines.

I'm real close to done myself. I'm not a collector and have 3 keepers that cover all my needs. This one is just different enough that I want to see if it will find a niche. Time will tell.

Well, let me just pick my jaw off the floor real quick… heard a lot about these guys, never knew they were locals!

Great tone, great playing, great song. Burgundy mist + wenge is going to look and feel amazing. I don't recall having seen ellipse inlays on a Dingwall before.

You're in for a real treat. Dingwall wenge necks are amazing.

This is what it should look like with the ellipse inlays.

Ish guitars has a burgundy coloured droc in stock.

In case you were wondering how a Super P looks without a pickguard :roflmao:
Note also how the pickup routing is set to have a reverse split P, too. View attachment 5240558

Very interesting to see if one were to set the Super P up for reverse, the E/A-coil would actually move a little towards the bridge. Didn’t see that coming at all, to be honest.

Edit: Also, everything‘s prepared for a drop-in with all the threaded inserts glued in place? The people in Saskatoon are simply gems.
