Any idea if an order "in the works" can incorporate the new options? I ordered two months ago so maybe it isn't that far along in the pipeline.

One of the reasons we made the announcement so early in the game was because we have a rare situation where although there are a large number of Super J's on order, none are in current production where it would be too late to update the specs.

This is a paint shop edit of a pic I got off Dingwall's site (Nolly's bass). Mine should look like this with the addition of all black hardware and will still have abalone side markers. Gonna be a long 7 months.

Regarding the Medium scale B-string. They are a first run with a new supplier and the taper length's a little off from spec. We've had zero issues with breakage and don't expect any. In the event anyone does have a problem, we will of course make it right.

In the mean time, in our opinion these strings sound significantly better than any other we've tested on the Super series. Not to mention the feel of the nickel is wonderful.

One aspect that makes it more realistic is that (unlike most other drama that takes place in space) the ships don't make noise 'out in the black'. Wonderful cast!!!

Last updated ETA was a couple weeks ago for December 7th.

I don't want to pester the shop because, well, you cant rush Dingwall perfection. Well you can, but then it may not be perfect. I don't want anyone 'rushing' on my new baby.

Hopefully, I'll have a "time to make it funky now" Christmas.

I think you're confusing Nolly's signature Combustion with his yellow ABXXX.

I agree. I do hope that after going to all the trouble of offering this signature model, that some players will be moved to invest in one.

The fd3 pickups sound more traditional but with greater range, clarity and sensitivity. The Super-Fatties have a darker tonality, slightly humbuckerish.
