I’ll be going to Frankfurt to one of the EU dingwall events, so I guess I’ll have a chance to play that bass
Still jealous/happy for the person here that got that killer deal on sweetwater - I thought of buying one immediately and figuring out what to sell to fund it after the fact, but had to resist.

Hi Dingwall Owners club, any advice on how to pick a colour for a custom build? I have no idea where to start.
At dingwallguitars.com, pick "Custom Shop" and then you'll see the models available. At the bottom of each model page, there is a Gallery section that might help. But depending on how much you want to pay, just about anything is doable.
Look for examples of what you want of existing basses. Share some photos with your dealer and consult them to see what is possible.
If you plan on playing out... I've found there's basses that look good and then there's basses that look good on me.
at first I was thinking abz, but now I am think z3.
I had the same thing happen to me. I started with a natural ABZ and ended up going with an obnoxious blue Z3.

Agreed, that was a great interview. Very curious about what Sheldon was saying about pursuing new tonal possibilities after hearing Adam Clayton live.
Also, the new pickups for the import Super P - he said new techniques to get classic sounds. Curious!
