I'm probably in a minority, especially as a prog metal bassist, but I don't like mine really hanging all that low anymore. It ends up being too much of a compromise from a more ideal playing position. I think if I played a bit less technical stuff, more root/small fill kinda music it could be playable, but the ergos of that still seem not that great.

I have the 2x10 vertical 8 ohm. Pairs well for what I do and is stupid light. I may add a second cab to get a 4x10. Not because I need it, just because, “Why not?”

I have a AT800 Cube (1x12 combo) which I can lift with my little finger. My only complaint about the functionality is that the dials are too hard to read. Other than that it's a neutral sounding amp and a very loud combo. If i needed to play larger gigs, it has the ability to add an extension speaker.

They are back savers indeed. I got two of the very first ATCube 112 cabs and they punch, I bring only one to most gigs. No desire to look at other cabs now, except maybe the AT 2x10" vertical because I finally realized that bigger isn't better. They're a great match with Dingwalls because they're really clear, so the unique Dingwall flavors come through nicely.

Now that you mentioned... other than the Aquamarine Sparkly in the Ready to Play series, does Dingwall do sparkly/flaky finishes on Canadian builds?

They have the metallics listed on the price sheet, and there's always the "custom color" option as well. I'm guessing within reason you could get many sparkly/flaky finishes on one.

Do you mean the import Super Ps? Those don't have a well defined start date as far as I know.
If you mean a Canadian Super P, you just need to get a build slot, though I'd be extremely surprised if you found one for 2024 (or even early 2025) at this point.

Redwood burl. Redwood can often have different looks to it as well making it a bit of a chameleon.

This is the place to ask Dingwall stuff.

at this time the only super Ps available are Canadian made custom builds. There is a production run(offshore like the combustions and D rocs) coming into play asap but it’ll be a while yet potentially.

Based on the low rider themed DROCs and Mr. Sheldon's affinity for fast and flashy cars I'd be shocked if they wouldn't/couldn't paint it with any amount of flake your heart desires.

I know I just a got a Z a couple months ago, but I also know that by the time 3-ish years gets here I’ll certainly be wanting a companion Z. So I think it’s time to grab a slot.

Here’s what I’m thinking for specs:

• Z3-6
• Wenge neck/board
• Maple burl top
• Faded blue jean burst (reverse?)
• Flamed maple contrast layer
• Black w/ white ceruse back
• Ghost speedos
• Blue luminlay side dots
• DG pre
• FDV’s
• Hipshot Xtender

For visual inspiration taken from other fellow TBers beautiful basses, basically take this bass and change the explosion burst to faded blue jean…

…like this, plus ghost speedos.

I haven’t seen a DW with these specs yet so it makes me think 2 things: 1) it’ll be unique! and 2) has it not been done because it won’t look good and I have a bad eye for design? lol. Thoughts? What do ya think?

Or I could just be happy with the one I have and save 11k Euros

They won’t I’ve asked, or at least that was the case a couple years back. The only flake finish they’d do on a custom is what you see on the candy finishes.

Definitely interested in one of those, been wanting a dingwall P bass since they came out years ago but they are out of my budget especially ow with everything going for extremely high prices due to inflation.

so no exact date when they release them?
Are they going to be made in the same manner as the Nolly models?

Sheldon said end of the year but whether that’s order time or shipping time isn’t clear. Best to ask your local dealer, there are a few in Quebec.
