Looks like the key is fastened by a screw. Would it be possible to unscrew the key from the stock tuner and the drop tuner and swap them?
One could try, but I think they are different shafts. I'm still not sure if the dimensions would align so that there is no need to drill new holes.

Came across these tuners today, they might fit the SP1 without modifications. Need to check the dimensions with their chart. They have a detuner that matches the set.

Iāve slowly come to terms with the Y tuners on the Super PJ but have considered trading them out for cloverleaf tuners. Itās a P bass. It should have clover leafs. Or is it clover leaves?The cognitive dissonance would destroy me
I truly adore and agree 100% on my SJ with the natural top
But, I actually donāt mind the modern style tuners on my coloured SJ.
LOL. I even had the thought with selling the camphor burled topped SJ that I would swap the tuners to keep the black clovers but decided that the other SJ is More modern in design and nature and the normal tuners seem to suit it.
Too bad you donāt live in central CaliforniaAs I always tell folks, if you end up near Seattle, let me knowhappy to let folks play any of mine.
Curious about the āonly solid colorsā for the Effigy. Is it, āanyā solid color like from PPG or only the āstandardā solid colors normally offered by Dingwall ie Vintage White, Ferrari yellow, shell pink etc.
Also on the 2 vs 3 pickup optionsā¦ would the 2 pickup be in the say Sklar/Z position or the NG2, or would it be the more traditional 2 pickup position?

Only way to know is through a dealer I think. I would love to have a configurator on the Dingwall site with all available options. No there are errors with some of the basses they offer, and things that are unclear. It's likely also not very easy to distill correctly.
The Effigy listing on the John Fox Bass website is fairly detailed and lists colour options. Sounds like it includes any solid options, including candy and metallics, just no transparent finishes.
I'll be surprised if the 2 pickup configuration is like the Z/Sklar instead of AB but you never know. Personally, I would prefer that. Let us know if you do find out.
I read it as well and since his sights lists all the color shift options (with a heafty price) I wasnāt sure if those were considered āsolid colors (paint only)ā. Iāll email him and see what he says.

I know they list the string spacing on the SP1 at 18mm at the bridge and the Canadian counterparts as 19mm. That is was always the one spec along with the neck width at the nut (too wide) that I didn't particularly like on the Supers. Visually, it looks wide on the SP1 5.

What I think I understood from Jason was that you could get any solid color and even go custom. Not 100% on that because I decided Ferrari Green quickly. Maybe it has to be solid because theyāre recycling pallet wood? (Kidding, itās mahogany.)
If only TB didn't drive away dealers, we could get a post here from one of them with the information directly.
