Nice. That top wood comes from the same piece of lumber that mine does.
I think I'm gonna ditch a bunch of my parallel's and just order a Super P. I've got a Capri Orange Fendrr P that I said I'd never sell, and a recently acquired Ric 4001, but my ABZ just s***s on all of them. Since DW will do custom paint, I'll get myself a paint chip off my p bass, and not feel bad about ditching it.
I just sold my last Fender for the same reason. I've got the Dings, my custom Grove 51P, Mark Robertson's 51 Kay upright, and a Martin BCPa4.
I will contunue to avoid the 37's for fear of beating the checkbook to death.

Don't worry about eating your words regarding the 'keeper status' of your Fender (they go down easy and leave no nasty aftertaste
