Well I just got my brand new Super PJ 4 string....absolutely beautiful....its a tri colour burst..black outer, red and honey middle...for lack of better terms...tortoise PG....I will post pics tomorrow... Super excited to start fondling her buttons!!

Yessir! Bang on! Drop D tuner too. It was built end of April 2015...I noticed the Dingwall gigbags look different too - theyre still a soft case - but nicely padded and more compact (unless I'm hallucinating from lack of sleep)...

I love the fretboard on your new bass Graphics. It has the perfect amount of grain to draw attention but enough to remain classy.

Thanks Jipley! I ordered it from across the country (from a lousy photo too)...and the salesman was disappointed that someone was gonna buy it LOL...he told me he LOVED having it at their store. I was estatic when I opened the box and saw the fretboard too! ....it sounds amazing - this should DO me for awhile - I have a few other basses I want to sell now (Warwick and a Stingray)..I just know I wont play them much (the Dingwall is way easier on my carpal tunnel)...thx again

New Dingwall NG2. Sheldon and crew hit it out of the park with these models!

I'd love to try one of these out. Both pickups in series seems to be the favorite lineup for the NG2 but how do you like the neck pickup soloed? That's right in the sweet spot - fat but still focused.

Glad that repair worked out - that was a tough one.

So many of the Dingwall demos on Youtube feature very aggressive, distorted, or highly technical music. Very good players but not my thing at all. I was looking for a more traditional sounding clip featuring the SuperJ5 with 3X pickups and a wenge neck. Found this and thought it might be useful for other like minded players.

Yes,, agree with this. All the NG2 demos I found were overdriven, which steered me towards a standard V4 Combustion. Sooo glad I made that decision. I am what you might call a more traditional player and it nails the sounds I like. So original yet so right.

Many years ago we did do a toggle bypassing the blend, offering both pickups in series. It required a 4PDT switch to work. I'd obtained a black sample switch from a manufacturer. The project died when I went to order the switches and was told there was a 1000 pc minimum at something like $14 per switch.

If I decide to pursue this with my Combustion, it seems I can use a DPDT switch as long as I don't ground the blend.
Upside: I can repurpose the existing active/passive switch.
Downside: With an ungrounded blend, neither pickup is ever completely "off". (Not a downside for players like me who seldom turn the blend knob much past center.)
