Hey guys, another option question. I asked this to Sheldon in the Dingwall forum but wanted to check here too.
If I go with a 3X, Tone Capsule and series/parallel switches is there an option for a push/pull master volume for active/passive? If so does is there a tone control when in passive mode? Or for that setup would the active/passive switch be like the NG2, when in passive mode no tone control?

Yes, the Dingwall tone was a revelation to me with my Combustion V4. Just never realised that a tone could be so different to what I have been used to for a multitude of years yet sound so naturally right. Plus so many choices as I look to get my second.....this one will be a four stringer...what a fabulous company.Tried an ibanez fanned fret today. Nice bass, finish and neck are decent, fanning is mild. Biggest let down though is the sound. Just not comparable to my dingwalls.
OOOH! Your Dingwalls are going to give you dirty looks when get home...Tried an ibanez fanned fret today. Nice bass, finish and neck are decent, fanning is mild. Biggest let down though is the sound. Just not comparable to my dingwalls.

Kinda like when your dog smells another dog on you, and they just give you that look of "how COULD you?"...
I am really tempted to try a tone capsule in my ABZ, in place of the three band Glockenlang. I'm also tempted to put a P tone in the neck pup as well.
Is the NG-2 also routed for both neck positions?
I think what he's asking is if the NG2 is routed for the neck pickup like a regular Combustion, and the answer is yes, though the neck and middle pickup routes overlap. @CL400Peavey plans on having his Conbustion routed just enough to fit all three pickups. The NG-2 has a 4 way position switch. We'll call the front one a neck pickup even though it's stacked at the bridge.
It goes Neck-Both Series-Both Parallel-Bridge.
