Hey y'all! Picked up my first Dingwall last week, an Afterburner II... honestly, I was underwhelmed at first. However, after adjusting the pickups and getting the jack and battery connectors fixed, the bass now sounds like what I was expecting - beefy, thick, and full. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's a meatier version of the tone I got from my active Warwick Corvette 5, which isn't surprising given the woods used.
