Am I correct in thinking there is no tone control on my ABxxx (darkglass pre) in passive mode?
The eq controls on the Tone Capsule are active only. So in passive they are disconnected from the circuit along with the pre-amp. This is pretty much how all onboard pre-amps are configured. Glock and our old hybrid treble being the exception. Some builders add an additional passive tone control however now you've got an extra knob and have to keep track of two treble controls.
Oh that's funny. I had to look really close to see if you snagged a picture of our band, because that was the exact setup we had for a 4th of July private party! The house looked a lot like that one and so did the band! HilariousNo good pictures of the gig using the SJ5XXX, here are a couple taken by a friend. The drummer's wife took some, won't see him til next week. First is the Harley and the cabin the band stayed in. If you squint, in the second you can see the SJ5XXX and yours truly.View attachment 911653 View attachment 911655
Nice looking Nathan East, too! You play it?
That blackburst is way cool.Stopped by my local Dingwall dealer yesterday (L+M Markham, ON) - they have a few in stock right now. No affiliation just a PSA

If I didn't already have my order in on a SPJ, this would be mine today...

So I received a Dingwall Levy's gig bag with my AB2 and while I am very impressed with the bags well thought out pockets, nooks and crannies, the build etc . I am finding it is next to useless when I have it on my back... it sticks up so far above my head I have to almost crawl though doors to get through and it wants to fall away from my back, even with the shoulder straps done up real tight. I've been using the mono single and double bags for years now and have swapped my Dingwall into one of those and put the Levy bag away. It's a pity as I really want to love the bag but it's just unusable on my back.
Has anyone else come across this?
Yep. Not really a fan of the shoulder strap placement on this bag. Other then that it seems awesome. I'm really curious about the gruvgear gigblade silver. I like the older levys bag better that I have. It came with the hanging hook and even though it's not built as well the ergonomics made more sense.
