Where are you located? I'm in the US and it worked fine for me.
They worked for me as well and I'm in the same city as Nate. Thanks for finding those, eloann. I've been curious for a while what the differences were. I think I need to play those through better speakers and toggle between YouTube Windows to better compare each clip to its opposite version.
Typical to a Dingwall, no really unusable tones there, just different ones for different applications.
All in the timing I guess...... They worked fine later on.
I would also like to check them on better speakers and toggle them. Next week perhaps!!!

The Orange is becoming my favorite color of the NG2's.Yeah, when I saw the Orange 4 string at NAMM I remember thinking, "that's the one!". Be interesting to spend some time with it in the privacy of my own home. Heck, even saved a pic of it on my phone:

I just put a set of these on my SPJ5 and really like the rich focused tone they have.

Payson is coming out with a line of flats - I know he was doing pre-orders not long ago, though I'm not sure what the latest news is (I don't play flats, so I didn't pay close attention to it).
The Payson Fanned Flat's are ready to go. Pre-order's are being taken.

I've been on a transcribing spree lately. Here's Opeth's and Periphery's latest singles both played on my Super P through the Line 6 Helix (Sorceress is a stock SVT patch ; Marigold is a custom one)

It hasn't seen any live action yet. If I ever make my solo project into a live band I'd probably use it since it would require a complex rig. What I currently play doesn't.
We may look into doing flatwounds in the future however for the Super series, just about any brand should fit.
Slightly off topic here: I know the majority opinion is that payson strings are amazing, but has anyone had an opportunity to play one of their basses? There's a dual reverse p that has been taunting me for some time now
NG2 has arrived. Bass sounds awesome and Happychicken set the bass up beautifully before he shipped it (a little too beuatifully, I probably need to bring the action up a bit). Things that surprise me so far:
1. While only a four string, the neck feels beefier than my Super PJ5
2. Definitely prefer the sound when active, but the actual tone tweaks aren't adding a whole lot for my use
In general I bought this as I'd been wanting to try out an NG2 since they came out and I've been thinking I need to go back to a 4 string as my main insturment, so it'll be interesting to see how well I ultimately get along with this.

Speaking of which, an upcoming lifestyle change is prompting a gear purge. I've listed two beautiful super Ps, both of which are incredible instruments, and I intend to keep whichever one does not sell right away. You've seen them both listed before. Please don't let my whimsy and capriciousness convince you that the instruments are to be avoided. Both are 100% worthy of Sheldon's name. I may start a thread detailing my recent train of thought, but in the mean time, please be assured that this is a simple gear purge to help get financial affairs in order for the aforementioned lifestyle change.
I've listed both because one has to go and I can't decide which one I want to live without (I have mentioned that the blue one is a bit more scooped than I prefer, but god look at it), so I'm letting the buyer decide it for me.
