Here is a guy setting mono-rail bridges on a Peavy. The ones of the Combustion are very similar.

I don't like it that much either, but the good thing is that once you get it set, it will be good for a long time. Some of the basses I had in the past, I had to set up a couple times a year. And.... it is way easier than a Rickenbacker.

I'm mainly a five guy too but I would love to just have a nice 4 in the collection and I don't have a p sooooo. It just kinda makes the DAS list.

What I would love love love to add to the collection would be one of those hollow body or acoustic dingwalls. Was it called the zero or something?

Surprise surprise I'm coming up short on the PJ search. That's what I get for letting 4 super Ps pass through my possession I guess. Kept looking for one with all the exact right specs. That was silly!

I really didn't like the La Bella flat's on my ABZ6. The B just had no presence. The A-C sounded fantastic, E was OK, B just thumped. I think flats don't really compliment the somewhat hi-fi tone of the ABZ. I only had them on for a couple weeks, I really should flip them to someone else to give a try.

I love TI Jazz Flats on my Super P5, though.

Super PJ w/TI Jazz Flats - absolutely love 'em. Smooth. I have a set of Payson Fanned Flats for my AB2, but I haven't tried them yet.

TI flats are my favorites. Next string change will be a new set of TI jazz flats, E-C on the Super PJ. Standard set fits the Super Series, customized sets of extra long and long scale from Bassstringsonline.com for the AB series longscales.

I have a slightly used set for B-G on the Super PJ. Just in case I go back to a low B string.

Yep. It felt a little hefty but I've come down with some kinda cold today or something. I'm realizing it's drain the life outta me today. everything is feeling heavy today. I'll go check it out again potentially later this week if it's still there.

I haven't found a flatwound B string that works on my Combustion, and I've been through them all. I have a Payson groundwound B with La Bella flats on there now. It is imperfect but workable.
