As a guy that will one day buy another DW.
Why is it that my southern neighbours are more than happy to buy a bass from Canada but are so adamant that it's not gonna make the return trip back up north.Is the shipping more difficult from there to here? Shortens the pool up here quite a bit. I got lucky and snagged one of the only two or three Dingwalls I've seen for sale up here in about two years. Now I wish I'd bought at least one of the other two.
CONUS only....Bah. I see this on almost every ad from the US.
End mini rant. Only partially kidding.

As far as New Dingwalls go, we are not limited to selling to Canada but the practical consideration is that we have to pay an import tax - which went up this year for me - then if we ship it back to Canada the person receiving the bass will have to pay customs duty. So the basses end up being double taxed. Therefore it is more practical for a Canadian to purchase in Canada instead of a double tax markup.
Yes, I do think the offshore D-Bird will happen, but with the NG2 production being so vigorous, I guess only Sheldon could give any kind of accurate estimate. I sold the only Canadian one I have incoming and re-ordered but looks like something around 18 months on a USA one. As soon as the offshore one begins order intake, I bet within a week the first batch will be sold out. I can't afford the Canadian one right now but as I am a 4-string guy I want one of the import D-Birds.
Ups Canada to US. Ins is $30 per $1000. I'll happily pay that if that's what it takes to put accountability on them while they hold a $ 5000 bass.
Also, I've shipped ups with no certificate of origin to the states. No problem. Also received same.
Either way. As long as they provide insurance, air freight and tracking that's all that matters.
Chrome B string is long enough for a full scale Dingwall? Or is the Z a 4?

BUT....... I did make it down to L and M today to put my deposit on my Z3 6 build. Back in que.
Suddenly I feel sooo much better. Hee hee hee. My lovely wife said, "........ that's .....nice."
A new dingwall on order, Buckleys , vodka.

Yes, the B on the Super Long set is long enough for long scale Dingwalls.

So I was talking to the wife last night about how I really love my NG-2 5 string. But I'm curious how the 4's play since there are some tunes I like to play on a 4 string and the B just gets in the way. She said when you get some other stuff sold and paid off get the blue one!!! 
I'd really like to try and string mine E to C but can't find any strings with a 110 E string. I could try the 100 but That might be too small for the nut slot. I think this has been covered before but curious what others have used.

I'm getting away with 100-30, E-C on my super pj. DR pure blues. I don't know if they would be long enough for the longscales.
I'd try a set of Dingwall longscales for a six string to get a start. You'll have a spare B.

I sold and shipped a used Dingwall bass from the US to a buyer in Canada. Got socked with a several hundred dollar import tax. Canada import taxes have changed a lot over the years and seem to be very complex. After several months of investigation and appeals, I had to pony up the $$$. The buyer was very understanding and kindly reimbursed me.

How do you have to pay import taxes on something that came from here to send it back here. That makes about as much sense as a DT tweet.
