Sorry it has taken me so long to answer these questions.
My scales say 9 lbs 4 oz.
Here are pics Sheldon posted on facebook that include the back. I haven't got around to photos yet. The back has a unique look in the wood. I like the look as it shows character.
There was some vids posted a while back that compared 2 Zs. One with fd3. The other with SFs. They are definitely different pick ups. That said, dingwall has eliminated the skinny shell, changed the SF to the SF2 and now I believe all pick up options will share the same shell.
I think they made the SF2 a bit bassier as well from the previous model. Don't quote me on that though.
I wish I had something meaningful to say in regard to the difference, but my Super J that has fatties is just such a different instrument with the walnut neck and everything else that trying to pick out what is attributable to the pickups themselves is very difficult.
I found the super fatties a tad slimmer in the low end, more mid to hi-mid focus with the EQs set to centre on both with same pre. Not a sklar sig just a Z.

As a guy that will one day buy another DW.
Why is it that my southern neighbours are more than happy to buy a bass from Canada but are so adamant that it's not gonna make the return trip back up north.
Is the shipping more difficult from there to here? Shortens the pool up here quite a bit. I got lucky and snagged one of the only two or three Dingwalls I've seen for sale up here in about two years. Now I wish I'd bought at least one of the other two.
CONUS only....Bah. I see this on almost every ad from the US.
End mini rant. Only partially kidding.
I should save my loonies for a DBird anyway.

And while I'm on the Dbird thought, is there still plans to have offshore DBirds? I haven't heard anything recently on this.

The other thing is, I've never been able to track a package reliably when I've sent it outside the US.
Personally, I'd send anything to Canada if someone could enlighten me as to which shipping service is best/ most reliable. I want to be able to see every move that something as expensive as a Dingwall makes!

On this note I've often seen that but often after a quick conversation I've found that sellers are willing to ship to Canada even when it says CONUS only. just have to allow for more shipping costs. Which if I want something and it's priced fairly I'll happily cover or split that cost.
USPS is the best way. Also most of the bass's I have bought have said CONUS only and it has never been an issue to send to Canada.
May the border I don't believe the tracking holds up.
Ups has always been accurate for me and they will fully insur as well. I think Canada post limits out at $1000. So even Canadian shipping kinda sucks if you want to insure for more despite it is the cheapest.
Once again internationally. I'll choose air freight ups.
