I have been dreading this sentiment from you... I'm keeping the AB1 lock in the gun safe from now on.
I think that labels are cracking down on YouTube because of the crap deal they've got going on. YouTube has more subscribers than any other streaming service, far more streams, yet pays even less than Spotify.

Actually, covers on YouTube are mostly fine, as YouTube has licensing agreements with the content publishers and owners. Facebook does not have those agreements in place.
Which is why I think the labels are probably going through Facebook to try and circumvent their agreement with YouTube.
No? The videos are uploaded to Facebook, Vimeo, or Instagram. Those are getting flagged (automatically) for DMCA violation. Even if you have an instagram video and share it on facebook, your facebook account is susceptible to being deactivated (temporarily, or permanently), as it was used as a mechanism to share the content. Youtube stuff is (mostly) fine, regardless of where it is shared.

No worries. Although a mistake to sell it, I'll find something. Not really in the place to do it right now anyway, but hopefully our summer gigging will make it possible in the next month or two. The sweet spot would be another AB of the same era though. Maybe a different burst this time. Most likely I'd drop a preamp in it and get the switching, etc. added.
Ah, I didn't realize these vids were going straight to social media. That's still really f*cked. As a recent grad from a music industry program, I've been watching a bunch of job sites and Facebook is pushing hard to fill a department for record label relations. They need to get that figured out fast.
There was recently an AB1 in the classifieds. Natural finish. Is Rastaburst an alder or ash body under that wonderful top?
I was wondering if you'd gotten a replacement value for that one yet. I mean, all my Dingwall's have cost more than the crappy cars I was driving at the time. But I'm sure the RB is in new car territory. Really nice, new car.
It wasnt a mistake, it got me started down the path of Dingwalls, and has fueled me to purchase two other basses, one of which was new from Sheldon. I would also love to pick up a D-bird down the road.

just pulled all my playthroughs from youtube, or at least set them to private. Hope this resolves for the builders soon, what an awful situation.

I've done blue, and I'm not really into the blackburst...
The hard part is probably the preamp. I wish Sheldon hadn't given up on the hybrid treble control. I really like the OBP-1 w/hybrid setup.
The Rastaburst is ash body, but I don't mind an alder either.
Your Rastaburst is such a signature bass, maybe you can pick up a used natural ABZ, strip it, and make a Rastaburst 2.0, install a pre-amp, etc.

I love honey amberburst. And green. Really all the finishes are great, but I also prefer something a little more lively.

Thanks, Nate. Until we're exactly sure what's going on and what is considered fair use, I don't want to contribute to any further playthroughs being associated with Dingwall. Hoping for a speedy resolution!
