Dingwall Owners Club

A year? I wish! I'm almost at 18 months now on my build.
WOW!!! Maybe the year was for the NG series ones. Glad i only waited 10 months for my custom AB (a few years ago now)......oh well...Dingwalls are worth the wait. IF its any consolation - i have a new Wal (also an AMAZING bass!!) that's double the cost of a custom Dingwall- and the Dingwall is still an easier playing beast. NOTHING has the unique awesome tone of the Wal, but playability - Dingwall!

Mine grows fast, that may help.

Best get an order in.

Yep. At the end of march last year I was told 13-14 months when I got in line. I'm assuming it will be that at least. But 18 months is what I've been hearing now. When I did my SJ Back in 2015??? I think. It was about 11 months and they delivered right around that. ...... and did they ever deliver!!!

Looks great as is, would also look good with a wenge neck?

Really, those of us lucky enough to have one or more are lucky to have one or more. I think it's been it's been 15 months or so since I last played one of my parallel fret basses. If it wasn't for sentimental reasons I'd sell the lot of them!
Very true! However, I still enjoy playing my Lakland Skyline and to be honest, sometimes I feel more at ease not bringing a 3k bass to a show if the logistics are not safe :D

I bought my combustion specifically for shows and to take on the road. I'm too precious with the ABZ and after our guitar player getting his headstock snapped off at a basement show a couple of weeks back I'm pretty glad I picked one of these up.

I have done a few mods but it's not quite finished yet, need to add some more black hardware and rewire the p-tone to series (I'm dumb and wired it parallel, so it's a bit weedy compared to the B/M series setting right now).

Somebody just has to get involved whenever I'm doing something...

loView attachment 2841116I take these 2 to all gigs, the goods news is that most venues in Utah are safe, or I have someone have eyes on them at all times, the bad is gigs are scarce and getting scarcer.
Love the White finish + black hardware :D

Love that second photo, cracked me up with the head tilt and eyes looking at you. "Hey dad, whatcha doing?"

Thanks, I'm quite proud of it, and it does get a lot of attention. Most people here know, but the finish is a one-off. Sheldon picked a light, well figured blank, and I had them finish it as white as possible instead of the normal transparent cream. I wanted black ebony fret blocks, Sheldon talked me into the light colored ebony, I still wonder what my version would have looked like, but it is always wise to defer to the master.
