Dingwall Owners Club

Thanks for the nice welcome back, Bob. Congrats on the Bills, not sure if you're a fan but I sure was as a kid. Exciting to see them back in contention after all these years! Hope you're staying warm indoors in that harsh Buffalo winter weather!
Oh yes, my fandom is in the blood. I went to games with my dad and saw OJ play as a rookie. I knew some of the players back then. It sure is nice that the playoff drought is over! I have season tix now and was at the blizzard game a few weeks back.

It is currently 1 degree Fahrenheit, it was -2 when I first got up. It is supposed to be -6 tomorrow morning. And that ain’t no wind chill factor “feels like” number neither. ;)

It’s supposed to go back up to 29, low of 15 on Sunday/Monday. We'll all be running around in T shirts cause it’s going to feel so balmy.:woot:

Lived up there for all four K-Gun Bowls. Now I'm in the Philly market where all our nemeses from those bowls are my every day nemeses in the division. Thought it might be our year, but nope. Thanks ACL tear.
Hey, it could be worse. Foles is no Carson Wentz, but he has been a limited starter in the past and knows the offense. That really did suck about the ACL. I hate that!

Here is a pic of the blizzard bowl. We were only 15 rows off the field and you couldn't even see the crowd on the opposite side. You could barely see the lights!

Thanks man! It was definitely fun dialing in that tone, I was using the neck pickup soloed with the preamp bypassed
I had figured out that much, but it also sounds like there is some modulation in your signal. Is it possible that you are not tuned to exactly the same frequency as the original? (A-440 vs. A-432 or something like that?)

Nope.

You may be hearing the sub harmonic from the original key bass part, or the harmonic overtones from the drive and compression settings I used; I tour in a band that tunes to 432, so I can tell you from experience that tuning to 440 while everything else is in 432 just sounds flat out awful ;)

I should have gone and listened to the original first. I wasn't familiar with it. You're right, it was the sub-harmonic from the key bass part. I'm lucky to have a really good audio chain on the PC so I can hear everything pretty well. Sometimes a blessing, sometimes a curse.

Thanks man, you're right, hard to make that combination sound bad! Would've sounded even better if I had a fancy white mo'! #jealous

Shhh...don't tell anyone my 'Mo gets her mojo from the extra LEDs not her color. ;) Also, now that I have a Jule poweramp with a chrome hood ornament, that's got extra tone. ;) Actually, we're finishing up an EP and I used Monique on 3 of the tracks, and my Kern IP-777 on a few others. The producer was skeptical of the Kern after recording the Mo so many times, but he realized it was just another great tone vibe.

Ha!

Crazy over the holidays, just like everyone else. We recorded a live album for church which is now in post production. Easily the most fun I’ve ever had recording. Normally, everyone is miserable!

Fun! We're doing a live one coming up too. We have a surprise 'pop up' at our ol' 'home room'...that'll be recorded as a 'warm up' rehearsal...then we'll be announcing on stage and hitting again for a second run at it a week or two later.
