What's up with the edit, was he 'flying low'?
Wow.
Lucky for him the lefty Combustion’s are coming later this year.
Most lefties that learn upside down like that don't really want a lefty bass. They have spent too many hours learning to play with the strings upside down. Some of them get a lefty bass and have the nut recut and reverse the strings. That wouldn't work on a Dingwall. Nobody wants a 37" G string.
Best case for this guy is probably a custom body to fit the neck like it is.
Congrats, the blue is SO classy!I let myself be overcome by DAS last night.I didn't get to spend enough time with the screaming yellow NG at the Four State Guitar Show in 2016 (@bebass and I had fun acquainting the public with the Dingwall mojo!) and happened upon this minty Laguna Seca beauty languishing in the classifieds. Hopefully I'll be getting my first impressions next week:

I've got a red one coming my way.. was told to expect it in December, but as we know, you can't rush a good thing :$ Getting a little antsy, mind you..
Something to hold you over until you get it.I have a metallic purple NG in the hands of UPS right now. Now that some of these have made it into the wild and pictures are starting to trickle out, I'm getting antsy. It's slated to arrive here at work on Monday...which is unfortunate, since we're closed for MLK day. I may show up anyway and snipe for the UPS man anyway since I have to be in town.
This guy doesn’t normally play upside down or own any basses set up like that. I think he’s somewhat familiar just from being a Lefty bassist in this non left handed world....plus he was just really pretty damn good. Most lefties that learn upside down like that don't really want a lefty bass. Thanks!
See, me...I'd have already screwed this up with Dingwall knobs and stuff.I can't leave well enough alone. I also have backstock of nickel steel strings waiting. I'm sure it comes with SS.
Pretty sure everything ships with nickel strings now. My combustion certainly did.
yes, ship with the nickelsThat would be cool too. Then I don't have to take off a set of SS's that would live on a shelf. I also have straplocks ready to go etc.

Trying something different for me, I've been a Phil Jones user for over 8 years, but the reputation of the Fender Super Twin as a bass amp and all the scuttle over Bergantino cabs had me curious.
75 Fender Super Twin 180 watt head (rehomed in an aftermarket case).
Bergantino NV412 cab
06 Dingwall AB1 with Pope pre
Astonishing.......

This exactly how one of my guitarists plays. He also plays bass in another band and I've been tempted to put one of DWs in his hands to see what happens. The funny thing is a regular left won't work for him. He needs the b on the bottom.Balls move last night...A Lefty sitting in upside-down and tuned-down a half step...brave soul, great player.
