All the best to David. Please take a break man!

Tons of love here for the 210, 410, and the 2x112. How about the 115? The website decribes it as a 112 on steroids. Would love to hear some more tonal impressions. And thoughts on viability as a standalone. Or how it matches with a 210. Curious.

Ok how about this question. the 1350 gives 1350w @4 ohms. How about @8 or @2? Will it go to 2? Same questions for the 800.

Hello. From my correspondence with David regarding this:

About your DNA-1350 amplifier, please:

Q: What is its power rating RMS at 8 Ohm?

A: The amp produces 675 @ 8 Ohms ½ of the 4 Ohm output.

Q: Is it stable at 2 or 2.67 Ohm?

A: It is stable at lower impedance but does not produce more power under those conditions.

Here is more that I just found, from the DNA-1350 user manual I received from David (emphasis added):

"Output power ratings: The 1350 can put out a full 1350 watts RMS into 4 Ω load. It will put out the same amount of total power into a 2 Ω load. Even though it will operate into that low an impedance load, we do not recommend a 2 Ω load for standard configuration. The 1350 is designed to work most efficiently and effectively into a 4 Ω to 8 Ω load configuration."

Just wanted to jump in and say (once again) how well the 1350 & 210 cab are performing! I've had some fun outdoor gigs these past couple of weeks and the DNA rig mixed with the Lakland DJ 5 has been top notch. I'm always impressed with how low the cab can get! Anyhow, I hope everyone is enjoying their DNA gear as much as I am!! :hyper:

What kind of music do you play? I'm thinking between the 210 or the 112. What are your thoughts (or anyone else's) on the volume/output difference if any? How about the tonal difference? I've seen people on the DNA forum say that 2x112 can stand up to the 410. And that the DNS 410 can stand up to other brand's 810. Are there any gigs for you when you wish you had more speakers?

I run an older Eden amp that pushes 800-watts bridged and run it bridged into my DNS410 - way more power than I need. I normally run my gold-faced WT at 9:30 and if I up it to 10 o'clock, it blows people out of the room. My Eden amp is at the tech right now after a really stupid move that allowed it to drop off my speaker cab and hit the floor, so I had to use my Eden Nemesis RS400 backup amp at practice. That amp puts out ~240-watts into 8 ohms instead of the 800-watts my other amp feeds it, and it was still crazy loud with the master set at 10 o'clock. The DNS410 boasts an SPL or 106db with 2.83v (1-watt)/1-meter. They are amazing cabs!

Thanks for that. The 410 would probably be much more than needed for my purposes. I'd rather go smaller, (but a bit tempted). So I'm really asking about the 210 vs 112. I'm unlikely to be doing the loud guitar rock thing. More smaller gigs, jazz, groove based stuff. But I'd still like to groove big with a hard hitting drummer.

My band does a lot of classic rock/modern rock/southern rock and blues with a sprinkle of country thrown in. Myself, drummer and two guitars. We always have our PA.......A pair of QSC K12's and a single KW181 sub with K10's as monitors for each band member. I never even really have to push the 210. I did just do an outdoor sub gig about a week ago with no PA. I got to push the cab a bit and we were doing country stuff as a trio. I pumped up the bass knob some and had a big sound going on. I hit an open low B pretty hard to close out our final song and heard a little bit of breakup with the drivers but that was the only time. Considering the volume I was running and the boost in the low end I was pleased with the outcome.

Thanks good info. Did you compare to the 112? Anyone else cranking the 112?

You know if Lane Baldwin pops in, he can tell you all about the 112. He toured with two of them for a couple of years and ended up only using one of them for most of the shows. How about it Lane - are you out there? You can contact him at Laneonbass.com if he doesn't pop in here. He's back working with David at DNA again.

Any of my fellow 1350 users putting the compressor to use?? I dialed mine in at this past weekends gig and really enjoyed the tone I was getting. I had the ratio set to about 10 o'clock and the threshold to about 1 o'clock. I was getting a nice little 'squeeze' on the low notes and it seemed to tighten things up a bit. What are your compressor settings if any??
