DNA Owners Group

Hey guys, not sure where else to post this for some support. I was in touch with Dave about getting replacement drivers, but then he dropped off and hasnt responded in about a week. The owner is a busy gigging player who plays out 4-5 nights a week and he's dead in the water with a cab that needs new drivers.

I feel responsible, because I sold it to a friend at which time I vouched for Daves customer service and responsiveness and now I feel like Im eating my words and having to make excuses. Not where I want to be. I understand Dave might have a lot going on, but I've emailed him like 5 times, with an offer to just pay for the drivers ("here's the owners address, let me know where to send the check and when you can get them in the mail?"), and just cant seem to get a response from the company. If he's too busy or can't offer the support, a simple email reply would suffice. the silence is pretty frustrating.

If anyone has any ideas or resources for how I can try to get this resolved, please let me know. DNA has no published phone number and theyre not responding to emails or FB messages.

I mention this here on TB not to air dirty laundry or grievances, but as a genuine attempt to get the support to resolve this situation. I hope it comes across as such. I have nothing but great things to say about DNA's products.

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but here's my story about replacing blown DNA drivers.

Backstory: I bought a used DNA from a local bassist here in Nashville, that I know had been passed around town a LOT! Had it a few months and, at a gig I was the backline for, had some jack@ss dime everything and blow both of my speakers during soundcheck.

All that to say, I sent an email to David inquiring about replacements on 8-13-2015 and the final 'hey I got them installed, thanks for everything' email was sent on 2-3-2016.

Granted, I had a backup cab that I could use, so I wasn't in the exact same situation, but it definitely took a while for the process to play out.

On a side note, I gave him my CC info when I placed the order for the replacement drivers and expected a charge on my account that I never saw. I checked my account several times and even called the card company to quadruple check, and no charge from DNA ever occurred. I emailed him to ask about it/remind him to charge me, but never got a response. Basically, he warrantied out a pair of speakers for a cab that a) I bought on the used market and b) was well out of the warranty period. Even though the process was kinda frustrating at times and there were periods where the communication didn't happen as fast as I'd hoped, David made it right in the end! I ended up buying a second cab from him middle of last year.

I hope everything gets resolved for you in the quickest/best way possible!

I'm glad that got resolved and Dave made it right for you. He was super on top of it for the previous repair issue I had, which had to do with some drivers and a known manufacturing defect. This one I'm sure is complicated by whatever is going on in his personal life. I hate to be "that guy", but I'm already "the guy" who sold a cab to a friend, singing the praises about the companies CS.

Update. I spoke with David last night. He is doing well. Feeling great. Dropped my 1350 off to have it checked out and I might be picking up an 800 to replace my Ampeg PF-500. We shall see where this leads. I am hopeful this works out

Hey guys. I just purchased a brand new DNS-112np. Pretty much the same cab except no rug. It's powder coated. I just love the sound of these cabs. Light small and powerful. Very well balanced sounding cabinet. Very clear and articulate as well and nice and deep and rich. Nice going Dave.

So this just happened. My two 112c's just arrived. There's no DNA distributor in NZ so I had to have these shipped from Australia. Thus there can't be many DNA cabs in my country, I've certainly never seen any. Fresh out of the box sounding big, expressive and articulate. Can't wait for them to break in some... I get a number?

I rocked this setup this past weekend outdoors! This is the 8 ohm neo model and I was very impressed. Due to noise issues I had to play bass in passive mode and all I got was good compliments on the tone and sound. You probably heard my cab over 5th Ave to Broadway..Nashville.
