DNA Owners Group

Moving house right now and while waiting for my stereo system I had the idea of using my banana plug to speakon cables to connect my two DNS-112s to my NAD370 hi fi stereo amp for TV and movies. Fantastic sound! Ok bit unbalanced in the top end of course, but damn these things are good.

Tell me about the 112, please.. I tried one a couple of years ago, but i was wanting to use it for my main rig, which was my mistake. It will not compete with 2 drummers and 3 guitars on stage. My 410 does!! Wonderfully BTW. With the 800 and 112, i think it will be able to complete with a B3 and 20w Tube guitar amp much better than the Ampeg PF500 combo

It's been a couple of years with the DNA rig and man has it been solid. I've had a few fellow bassists check it out and they have all been impressed. I've had the cab in too many smokey bars in that time so the carpet might not smell the best but it has held up well for all the abuse it has seen. I'm always able to dial in great tones no matter the room I'm in. As I've said before the amp has plenty of juice and that 2X10 gets loud! I'll be headed out for a double header this weekend and I know the DNA will be on point!

Yes, as Armin said, the low B string sounds amazing. Although the shelf port is set at 52Hz, the Frequency response goes down to 37Hz. The low B on my 5-string sounds tight and full. Great sounding cab and loud as all get out. I use a WT500/800 that I bought from David after he left Eden to start DNA. I list is as a WT500/800 because he upgraded the power system from 500-watts bridged to 800-watts bridged. I run it bridged but can't raise my master above 9:30 unless we are playing outdoors. Just has huge volume with clear articulate and full sound. Buy it...you'll love it...I do!

Here is what I found. The DNA 800 with the DNA DNS-112 under it is a great little rig. All the benefits and features of the 1350, but running 800w into 4 Ohms. Right there is the key. 4 Ohms. I really don't think this little rig actually opened up until I added another 8 Ohm cabinet. The it was brilliant!! Stunning even. Full. Tonal. Tight. Killer volume. Cuts through the B3 organ and the Les Paul! All without any adjustment. Outstanding rig, But, this was supposed to be a little rig. The DNS 112 does not come in a 4 Ohm version and I had asked if there was anything that could be done with my 112 to make it 4 Ohm and I was told no.. So it really sucks that I didn't think of the 4Ohm thing before I purchased the 8Ohm cabinet. It is a marked difference..
