Do you hang your basses up on your wall?

I was always skittish about wall hangers but my wife kept encouraging me to hang up my basses like art so I finally caved in. They're much more accessible than they were in the closet in cases. The room is going to be painted a different color soon and the support boards will match the wall paint.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use the Hercules long arm hangers. I had one break on me. It sheared right off with a 9 pound bass hanging from it. It happened after a year or so.

I've been using several Hercules Wall Hanger types, including the one with long arm. AAMOF, I have several of these, like 6 or probably more, which 4 of them had been installed (I have them all on plastered brick walls) probably since 2017.

And in the second half of 2020, one of them broke while carrying one of my basses, a 3.3kg Ibanez fretless.

But, this only happened on the particular long arm type. I still and proudly use the other Hercules Wall Hanger types.

The company is probably making alot of money. A few dented guitars doesnt sound like a good reason to retire the product. They'll take it off the shelf only when profits go down.
Tobacco companies knows how many people dies every year, but they still making money, so, no need to retire.
Same with every business out there.

Old house, pre-fire (only the walnut Jazz survived from this group). This was a rotating collection and guitars/basses would come and go in the dining room.

A more 'bass-centric' rotation. The 2015 Am. Std. Jaguar Bass also survived the fire.

My music corner, currently a work in process. This is a funky little unfinished corner of a room in my house (a shelf had to be taken out before we bought it so they could replace the circuit breaker). I'll be putting in a new, lower shelf for the amp to sit on - at the moment it's resting on top of another speaker cab.

Due to space constraints I offset the instruments slightly so they could nestle into each other's body contours. Obviously this space will be too small if/when I ever add a third instrument, but for now it's an efficient use of a pretty small space.

My son's old bedroom in our basement became my music room when he moved out. I reworked the closet to hang my basses. Since the studs didn't line up I stained a couple boards and mounted the hangers on them. So much more accessible now rather than in cases in a closet upstairs in the living room.

Thanks for suggesting. But as @vvvmmm said, I don't think I wanna use the same hanger type any longer. Besides, I still have a few of these the long arm type hangers unused.
