Do you have a stage name?

In my band, I kept referring to my (non-band) girlfriend as "My girlfriend, Heather." Eventually, someone sarcastically remarked, "Wait, you have a girlfriend named Heather?"

Heather is a singer/songwriter outside of that band (which, just to be clear, she was not in) and when she began playing shows, she billed herself as Girlfriend Heather.

Sorry, that's all I got.

No. I think it's silly when famous people do it, and certainly more so when BarStars do it. Several of my friends have done it, and I ride them about it endlessly.

I think there's a difference in using an honestly acquired nickname and picking a random "stage persona" out of thin air. A nickname is ok, the invented identity is cheesy unless it's some sort of theatrical theme to the group (even then sometimes it's questionable)

I got stuck with the stage name Scooter (Hence my user name here). I was around 17 and hanging with the guys in our band partaking in alcohol and herb while watching the Muppet Show. One of the guitar players remarked how I looked like Scooter on that show and it stuck. Here I am on the verge of 55 and people still call me that in musical circles. Could be worse I guess.
Reading that made me flash back to being a kid & watching the Muppets and then I remembered this! Coincidence?

My old guitar player called me Dave and The Buttertones, which had a lot to do with my Roscoe LG3005. The singer called me Teeth because i was always smiling onstage--we regularly played a bar in Key West AND the stage was 15 feet from a mechanical bull AND Wednesdays were Sexy Bull riding Nights...

I had a stage persona: MC Spankyspank.

He wore purple Chuck Taylors, denim overall shorts, and a bandana tied in a do-rag. MC Spankyspank never stopped moving except to sing on mic. Kind of a hippie Angus Young. My band at the time never knew when MC Spankyspank was going to be making an appearance. He just showed up. There are very few photographs because he didn't stand still long enough. Photographers actually complained about this.

If you have a stage name of any sort, or know someone who does post it. If you can, maybe include how you got that name.
I shall start. Although my name is Matt, i am called "Homeless Dave". I got the name during the SD State FFA convention, when a person whom i had never met before called me Homeless Dave because i had my ffa jacket in a bag (wasn't required to wear it in ag mechanics and the clothes i was wearing made me look homeless.
P-Bear. As in polar bear. It came about in the early days of the band many years ago and I can’t remember exactly why. There’s been so so many comparisons. The way I look (a bit chubby and white as can be) some expressions I do particularly when I’m drinking are similar to the Coca Cola polar bears, Lived in Chicago for years before coming back to NC and I’m more of a cold weather type where my band mates love the sweating while standing still type weather. So it fits in more ways than one.

Video for the visual lol

Not a stage name really, but one day I was scrolling through Facebook and came across an article that said, "Find out your Blues Name." So, using my three initials and a table in the article, I was assigned the Blues Name "Old Dog McGee." So, I'm Old Dog McGee. It was Facebook and the Internet so it is official, right?

My last name is Pinkerton. Kind of long and nerdy I know, and sometimes a mouth full for strangers. Sooooo in an early band of mine years ago, I started going under the stage name Brother Pink. We did a killer version of Pink Floyd's Interstellar Overdrive.
I named our blonde haired, fair skinned lead guitarist Boy Nordic. His brother the drummer became Eric Erotic. Great times
