i never really leaned in for a sniff, but my Ampro definately has a scent that conjures up memory triggers. i don't know what the original memory is, but it's definately from young childhood. maybe my granparents' console stereo or something. i can't say it reminds me of thunderstorms, so i'm thinking it's less ozone and more old vinyl and adhesive feeling the heat. either way, it is a pleasant smell.

Hopefully it is not ozone anyway. Ozone would indicate arcing and not really good to be sniffing.

Yeah, it's probably a little creepy, but I can still, to this day, remember the smell of the tolex from my Traynor cabs that I used in the 80s....


Again, creepy...but it does evoke fond memories.....
