Does Fender still rule the stool?

We may not always admit it but I know we all do it. We all take our basses into the bathroom with us to practice will we are doing our sit down business. I'm mean... honestly! It would be a huge waste of time not to. Right? Anyway.. now that we have all admitted it, Does Fender still rule the stool? I've tried using my Ibanez but it's just not the same as pooping with a P bass. I like to look down and see some tort loaf when I'm pinching off a loaf of my own. When it comes to toilet practice Leo really got it right the first time. What bass do you use? I bet it's a Fender or a Fender type bass, isn't it?

No, we don't "all do it"!! Thanks for this thread. I'll be buying all my musical equipment new from the factory from now on...

I've edited music, written emails, watched plenty of shows, kept up with talk bass, sexted, updated social media, booked gigs, cancel gigs, closed deals, bought pedals, smoke, had a beer and perhaps a snack and even discussed the rotation pattern of the wheels on the bus with my 2 year old son on the toilet ... But I can't say I've ever played bass while pooping...

I prefer a 4 string. The B strings on Fenders are just too floppy.

Can honestly say never have. Been online, on the phone, smoked (back before I quit- even could have one in the shower, ash tray up on top of the stall), did some one handed typing, but never taken my bass in there (or any other musical instrument).

And food in the bathroom?? YEECH

That being said, I have recorded myself playing acoustic and singing in the bathroom. Small room, hard surfaces, internal mics on the digital 8 track and it sounded pretty decent!

I once made the mistake of bringing my MusicMan Bongo into the bathroom and, what with the mirrors reflecting both the toilet and the Bongo, I couldn't figure out which one was the one to sit on. Who could? Well, I guessed wrong and I sitted on the Bongo. It was a real mess to clean up- that lousy, soft basswood is certainly to blame.

I have been living away from home for work for the last few months. Shortly into my trip I bought myself an Allen Woody Rumblekat as a cheap(ish) semi-acoustic bass to play in my hotel room in the evenings (it's a great little bass, BTW).

In all honesty, I have been playing it in the bathroom because the enclosed space and the tiled floor and walls create better acoustics than the bedroom/living room. And I have bad knees from running marathons when I was younger, so sometimes I play sitting down on the toilet.

So, sorry to kibosh the Fender-love, but in my experience Epiphone rules the stool.
